Yes. And you want a coach who does all of these things and never gets caught. But then when a coach does gets caught you have program like Baylor thatās F.U.B.A.R. I donāt think thatās what Hill aspires to be.

Do we really believe MHill is going to entertain the notion of hiring Hugh Freeze? Should he even be on the list?
There are worse options. At least heās run a program from the top. Might be better than rolling the dice on yet another assistant. Iām not sure why our fanbase is averse to a proven HC at the college level.
My concern is that the only former HCs that are true options are options because they didnāt perform well at their last stops. Thatās not disqualifying in and of itself, but itās not exactly a ringing endorsement, either.
ETA: Iām intrigued by the idea of HF
Recruiting is key to success. I have no doubts the guy can coach. I have my doubts he has the relationships to recruit well at fbs or even to hire coordinators with recruiting chops.
Some times coaches are bad fits. I would never want to hire a coach that had failed in his only chance as a hc but I have 0 issue with hiring as coach that succeeded, got a different job, and failed.
Didnāt Hugh Freeze have significant recruiting violations at Ole Miss? He also was caught calling an escort service.
I was referring to the Valdosta guy. No idea what Freezeās issue was.
freeze got caught in talking with a booster, allowing a player to use a vehicle and sleep on an assistantās couch.
it was bad, but not sure how different that is from some other schools other than they got caught.
One of his players was paid by an assistant coach.
I actually 100% want a proven head coach, but from at least the FBS level, which would eliminate Kerwin Bell.

Hill likes to refer to the Sanchez model when asked about what heās looking for. Sanchez was a top assistant from a P5 program and from a similar recruiting area. That screams Elliott from Clemson. It would only be a marginal salary bump, and I assume bigger programs could be pursuing him, but I bet heās one of the top 2 on Hillās list.
