Just a few hours ago Heat Academy guard Rashad Coleman gave the Niners their second commitment for the 2008 class. Guard Shamarr Bowden was the first.
“He just called them today and gave them a verbal,” Heat Academy coach Jason Niblett said. “It was the love that he was shown there that won him over.”

So now we have a big time scorer that we need. Prolly the last newcomer for next season, with Spears not being eligible until the following season. Looks like our roster is complete for next season.

The coaches pull off another nice Spring pickup - a time when talent is very tough to find. Pretty cool that we won out over offers from Ga. Tech & OK St. to get him.

gerrity never played the two spot and mack was strickly the 4 spot when he was in. because either charles or anjuan were in at the time. Pretty sure coleman/bowden/andersen will be splitting time at the 2 spot.
great news. i haven’t read as many reviews as some of you. but all the reviews i’ve seen are good. any idea who’s the leading contendor for the starting sg next year?
Caught up with Coleman while he was watching the Memphis-UCLA game. (He told us Memphis was taking it all). Coleman chatted with us about his reputation for putting up points, where the coaches see him fitting in next season and the basic message he’d give Niner fans given the opportunity to speak in front of a sold out Halton Arena crowd (Random question. Good answer).
