Non-story since WNBA hasnāt changed current draft eligibility rules, which are in effect through 2027. Just speculation on the part of Auriemma during an interview on ESPNās āUnSportsmanlike Conductā this morning.

Was reminded recently about agents when several national basketball writers posted āwarningsā about what percentage a college athlete rep should command. While an agent of a traditional professional athlete might typically receive 3-5% - depending on league rules - nothing exists as concerns college athletes. As such, apparently some reps are asking up to 20% of NIL earnings.

FedEx logos on the jerseys next season?
It really is over. You wonāt be able to compete unless you have a major corporate sponsor or a benefactor as rich as one.
In that regard itās even worse than the major pro American sports.
At least the local community is fulling embracing them there - I just believe here in Charlotte too many leaders would scoff at such an investment as it may hurt their precious cheatinā heels.
Kessler comes off like a complete douchebag.
With his extensive background in anti-trust litigation, Kessler definitely the guy you want on your side if youāre looking to shake up the status quo in sports.
Iām just not going to say āthanks for being loyal.ā Many stay because they got paid. Thatās it.
I said this before I never booed one of our players because they were kids. Doing their best and part of our family. Now though? If I do go to a game and Patterson goes 1-8 with a few dumb plays - bet your ass Iām booing. You are getting paid you are a pro and you arenāt family. Performance is all that matters. Right?
Iām just saying when you accept money that changes the dynamic.
You can have your opinion but even the great players have bad nights. You want to boo go for it but just means in my eyes you are an idiot fan and a jackass.
In reality I donāt think many folks would boo for a off night here or there - but the point of the convo is once you start taking money that changes the relationship between fans and players. Once you take money the performance matters more than anything else.
If I find a mechanic that is learning to fix cars, he offers to work on my car for free and messes up my car ~ only a total idiot bitches about that.
If I pay a mechanic to fix my car and he messes it up then I am well within my rights to be upset and voice my opinion on the mechanic.
I mean technically, we have always paid players. Just with a scholarship. So not gonna boo my own players
Thatās the altruistic component never had an issue with that and itās absolutely not the same.
