I love you old crotchety know it all types who are totally wrong and standing up for nothing and get so worked up over this stuff they are wrong about that they get rude before anyone else.
One quick way to identify you might be a little off it is when no one else has even come close to saying this game wasnât called horribley. Another, when one of your own says in all his time he hasnât seen anything this bad. Or maybe when the commentators, the radio, the media, the coach ALL make comments about the refs being nuts. Or how about not being in the double bonus at the end of 3OT in D1 basketball. lol
Okay, your turn.

I said refs were bad. I stated that. Earlier. Does that satisfy you guys? I also said Charlotte lost, on their own, the game in regulation. Thatâs what I saw and all the freaking back and forth on that is just that. The guys had a two point lead and fâŚking blew it. Iâm pissed about that. What Iâm also bugged about is the constant excuse-making by folks on this board when itâs really the 5 players on the floor and Coach that determines the outcome. The refs, while they may suck in a big way, cannot be an excuse for W-Lâs. They just canât. If all you guys want to put it on them, well go ahead. Thatâs using excuses and Iâm one of those types that will not use excuses for stuff that is self determinant. The leanings here seem to be rather obvious. Like I said, on the road, you donât get calls. And what the hell does that have to do with me being âcrotchetyâ or whatever? If that some kind of ageism b.s. then fâŚk you.
Crotchety has to do with you being crotchety. Iâm not actually sure anyone used refs exclusively as an excuse for Richmond so that kinda throws out the constant thing. People may place blame on refs, but they will also admit, as they did, that it was still our fault in the end.
Today, it wasnât like that. We could have won it ourselves, yes, but in this game the refs did play a big enough role to cost us the win. It was obscene. If you have beef with the folks who make silly excuses for every game, today isnât the day to take up your axe because they have a legitimate concern this time.
Commisioner McGlade,
Can you please stop hiring people off the street to officiate A-10 games.
Thank you.

This wonât do anything, but if it makes you feel better, go for it.
We were jobbed, sure, but it happens. Canât ever put yourself in a position to let the refs decide the outcome.
I hear ya, but I just donât think that works today. Most games where you get upset about the refs, it was still plenty your fault for losing and you shouldnât have let yourself be in a position for the refs to decide the outcome. Today, I think it was flat out blatant, obscene abuse of reffing powers. It was far more than a reasonable hurdle for this team to conquer to also beat its worthy opponent, and it actually should be actioned.
And, I personally wouldnât be looking for some correction of todayâs outcome. I would simply hope that these men donât get hired again and the league either hires better refs, or this is one more straw in getting us to hire better refs. s***, I think these refs today actually did bet on the game, but lets at least not hire these clowns again.

I canât really agree with that. Refs can always decide an outcome to a game.

All fouled out against WakeâŚWe were left with Courtney Williams playing C
We got jobbed yesterday. That loose ball foul at the end of OT giving them a 2nd chance was BS, and the double dribble on Derrio was weak. They were looking for reasons to give St Bonnie 2nd chances. We lose both Bras and Jones to fouls, while Nicholson looks like a hero. It felt very very one sided.
We were called for 28 fouls to their 12

Director of A-10 officials is a St. Bonnie grad I have found out. Those guys are looking for more gigs. Has there ever been a more lopsided foul count in an OT game?
I also thought the refs were favoring Richmond and their HUGE 14 pt spread in the first game. 4 free throws for a team that averaged 22 attemps coming in.
Satalin, A-10 Dir of officials actually played and coached for St Bonnie. Coached them in the 70âs according to his Bio. I donât have the link handy.
The Bonnies were -4.5 and only won by 4. If the fix was in these refs were even more incompetent than we thought.
I was holding out hope that they had bet on the game and were trying to come out ahead. The final score affirms my suspicion that they were just bad officials.

I donât know, the failure to cover the spread by the Bonnies wasnât for lack of trying by the officials. They may have failed in their mission, but it doesnât mean they werenât giving SB every opportunity.
Canât believe that any director of officials would put this crew together. This is a c-level crew at best.
Click on their names, you can find out all sorts of info on them.
Kevin OâConnell - works A10 and MAC conferences, 10 games this year, all with A10 teams, 19 last year, 12 with A10 teams
Alvin Cox - works A10 and MEAC conferences, 12 games this year, 6 with A10 teams, 30 last year, 8 with A10 teams
Quintin Murphy - works A10 and Southern conferences, 8 games this year, 3 with A10 teams, 16 last year, 8 with A10 teams
Obviously they are not grading out well or theyâd be doing more games. For example some ânameâ referees; Roger Ayers - 49 games so far, Mike Kitts - 47 games, Mike Eades - 45 games. Even old white-haired Tim Higgins from the CUSA days has cut back and heâs done 26 games already.

Just went back and watched some of the game, turned it off at about the 10 minute mark in regulation because I didnât want to get pissed again.
I did notice something that really got me, after the âscuffleâ between Nicolson and Bras, Alvin Cox the ref goes over and talks to the St. Bonnies coach for a while, it had to be a while because the camera went over and showed them and they are still talking. What happens after that, Bras getâs a foul called on a Defensive play against nicolson for his third, then the next exact play Bras getâs the ghost Offensive foul right called on him by Alvin Cox who is right in front of him.
Now do you think the St Bonnies coach had anything to do with him getting a call like that, he put something in his ear and the ref is too unexpericned to look at the play and not the player! BS!
FYI Athletic Director Judy Rose has filed a formal complaint to the supervisor of officials for the A-10 with a CD to substantiate complaints.
clt advises judy to throw a turd in with that cd.
