OK So Cal, Stanford Oregon and Washington to B10
Zona, ASU, Utah, Colorado to B12
Should the AAC try to meet the 20s and build out a legit west wing and try to bring in OSU, WSU, SDSU and Colorado State?
If PAC loses all those schools I donāt see how they can try to invite anyone and survive.
clt says AAC should be in poach mode
I think its something to look at for sure. I just donāt know who the 4 should be. I do think colorado state and SDSU would be two I would definitely add. but then when trying to figure out with the group of unlv, boise state, wsu, and osu which of the two would make the best long term fit I would have a harder time of deciding who to add.
Colorado State and AFA are the first two on the AACās list if we expand, assuming they are available.
Washington State and Oregon State are bigger fish than any of the MWC schools, though SDSU has enough upside to challenge them.
I like NWAs idea, but the caveat is that Aresco already chased the MWC schools once and they said no. Maybe the prospect of coming on with WSU and OSU would be enough to entice them.
there would need to be four. I think the push-back from last time was that there were only two ready to say yes, and it was four or none.
The prestige associated with getting (2) PAC XII schools should not be underestimated. I would absolutely go for it.
I think you might be right. I had forgotten that.
What I really like about NWAs idea is aggressiveness. Iām such a whipped into passiveness dog that I didnāt even think of it til he said it.
Something tells me Aresco has already thought about it.
Again⦠leadership. Helluva thing. They might tell us no, but we shouldnāt just surrender them to the MWC unchallenged.
I think we could give them a better TV deal vs. the MWC
Better time slots / eastern USA exposure, just like their PAC 12 big bros are after with the B1G.
Iām really warming to this idea. If we picked up 2 PAC schools and raided the MWC too, that would certainly position us as the next in line league.
Would take 6 to get to 20 - 2 from PAC12, 4 from MWC - coast to coast top 5 league

Iād personally rather have unlv or Boise over Washington state or Oregon state.
The crazy thing is we donāt get the AAC if their west coast flirtation had worked. It didnāt we get in and now they may still get the west coast. The world looks different now than it did. Conferences going national.
Fresno St or UNLV or Boise
To me that is the tough call. I forgot about AFA. I think WSU and OSU bring too much history and brand to dump them in favor of the MWC schools. Iād prob go with UNLV but thats probably biased from me just loving the Runnin Rebs back in the day.
One thing we know for certain. Aresco isnāt going to sit on his ass. My question though is does he think the ACC is going to implode and would rather see what happens with the likes of Duke and Wake?
clt says we could have a usf to Washington state flight in conference, letās go!
I forgot about Boise St. I wouldnāt quibble about them over Fresno, etc. I think the idea has merit though. Maybe there is no P5 any more⦠Maybe itāll be the Big 2, plus āThe Next 3ā, including the AAC, and with that lineup of programs, I daresay AAC would be closer in comparison to the Big 12, and especially an SEC raided ACC than either of those leagues would like to admit. Itās totally ridiculous in terms of geography, but then again, all of these leagues are. Might as well play the game.
Yeah def looking like the Elite 2, maybe the P3.
If MWC gets raided by AAC does SBC answer the national call and clean up what remains?
I think UNLV match the AAC profile better than Boise or Fresno. I would also put AAC in vegas which is apparently the cool thing to do with sports now.
Man, you people are daydreaming, but wouldnāt it be fantastic! Love it!
I think, particular details about which schools and which division aside, it ensures relevancy.
Although it would have to be run pretty much as 2 separate 10 team leagues for Olympic sports or the travel would crush all the programs.
Short of us getting into the ACC after it gets raided for Clemson, Cheat, UVa and FSU, I think this is the next best option for us. I hate these far flung leagues, but it keeps us relevant. If Aresco doesnāt do something like this, he risks being relegated to Sunbelt level or below if we get raided again. Time to go on the offensive.
