Wow. What a misstep!!!
If SDSU is allowed to stay that should mean stability for another 4 or 5 year cycle. Whichever league deal is up next.
ESPN is laying off loads of on air personalities today to cut costs. Will ESPN stop throwing huge money at sports TV contracts?
Yes and this is the best case scenario for us.
Yes, MW not happy with the Aztecs but as long as the money keeps rolling in, that’ll lessen the animosity somewhat.
I just don’t see how the PAC schools sign a grant of rights if their new TV deal is substandard.
Why would Oregano and Washington lock themselves into something long term if they could be poached by he BIG10.
The same for the four corners schools.
Unless the TV contract is strong I expect no grant of rights and another year of intense speculation.

This is a big story. Potentially gonna cost SDSU s bunch of money.
Conference realignment was one of the subjects covered by Ross Dellenger at SI. Either resigned or laid off - probably the latter - last week.
Hate seeing good reporters like that get axed. That industry is nearly impossible to make it in anymore.
Hope he lands somewhere solid.
AAC needs to extend San Diego State an invitation for conference affiliation
That would be absolutely hilarious if it happened.
