Looks like you are right.
I’ve seen their member schools fans tear into him like it was his fault.

We need to lock in our name change ASAP. Before long, Queens University will be referred to as “Queens University of Charlotte.”
They will then use the Mantra that they are “THE University of Charlotte.” And we will miss, yet again, another great opportunity.
I have already seen the light rail come on our campus advertising Queens University of Charlotte. I have also seen advertisements throughout with the same naming convention.
Our University needs to wake up and act swiftly.
It has been Queens University of Charlotte for over two decades now.
In addition to Queens, these schools have completed the transition to D-I as well:
• East Texas A&M (Commerce, TX)
• Lindenwood (St. Charles, MO)
• St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN)
• Southern Indiana (Evansville, IN)
• Stonehill (Easton, MA)
Memphis fans are stoked to play Sacramento State at 2am on gas station TV!
Well, they do end in “State”
We are just 5 small letters (S-t-a-t-e) from a PAC invite

From Dellenger’s thread:
Hopefully nothing gets off the rails at the last minute, this is what we want to see happen.
That’s not a bad league - it at least makes some sense geographically.
Oops just noticed UNLV is on that map. They would make sense to add too.
I’m seeing a gap UTEP could fill. Just saying!
UTEP accepted the invite from the MW back in October. Official on July 1, 2026.
Are we sure we’re still in the AAC? It’s getting hard to keep up.
It’s not a good league either though if they are having to scoop SunBelt schools, there is no shot they take Memphis, Tulane, USF, and UTSA.
I’m a fan just because it is at least somewhat regional. These coast to coast leagues are awful. Regardless of any other considerations. The AAC is almost too far flung itself.
Official announcement of ASUN + WAC alliance and latter’s rebrand as UAC etc.
