Those are truly preposterous projections.
I’m not sure it would be accurate if there was a decimal after the 9.
Another NAIA school looking to make the jump directly to NCAA D2.
NAIA University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is being purchased by neighboring D3 Washington University. Latter will retain the College of Pharmacy, which is adjacent to WashU’s medical campus, and shut down all of the other UHSP programs, including an athletic department comprised of 20 sports teams, in 2027.
I’m guessing they want to join the SBC one year earlier - 2026 instead of 2027 - and do so without having to pay a heftier exit fee. Already knew they were leaving CUSA for the SBC as the replacement for Texas State.
Probably nothing to this, but it would be interesting.
Never play the SEC in any sport again. Let their teams endure losing seasons for a decade straight and see how they come groveling back to the rest of college sports. They can’t rig the game in their favor with extra home games, etc if they only play each other.
The rest of CFBs response should be

What a waste of time and money. Playing one more season in CUSA isn’t so bad.
Yeah odd decision not to just play it out.
They are burning time and focus and money with this that could be better utilized elsewhere.
They could play CUSA games on Wednesday and play Sun Belt games on Saturday.
