LSU Medical school is in Nola, $2b+ campus with a VA, also includes some of the Tulane Med school in that facility.

the NFL is going to use the change of control provision to take their CBS held rights back to market as soon as the paramount deal is finalized. That could also happen with NBC if they get bought.
What Iām hearing on the pods is that top level broadcasters are going to be saving their money to stay in or get into the NFL.
Itās possible CFB has maxed out TV value at the low and mid tier and the only way for the top tier to get more would be to start a new āsuper leagueā.
Which they will have trouble doing until their current TV deals are over.
Iām guessing status quo until the TV deals are almost done and then either we will get a super league or tradition will rule.
From what Iām hearing we are 4 years away from something actually being announced.
if the conferences get really cutthroat and cost conscious I think we may see regionalization for everything but basketball and football.
It could be organized geographically to limit travel for all D1 sports other than those two.
In that case I could see them naming the āconferencesā NCAA D1 Group 1,2,3 etc.
Regionalization for non revenue sports is ridiculously past due. It makes no sense to fly volleyball players across the country for a match played in front of a dozen fans.

Hereās what I donāt get, the general idea is that government is getting involved, to make laws, to make college sports better. Butā¦weāre going to let the SEC/B10 tell us what the law/s should be.
I really donāt understand how weāve gotten so far that lawmakers donāt say F you, thatās not how this is going to work.
Also, the 19 schools cap could be telling. Itās hard to tell if that is only referring to the Sec and B10, or to every conference. If itās only for the SEC and B10, it getās the number close of 38 to what some have speculated for a new division. Although 38 is an odd number, compared to say 36, 40, 44 or 48 for creating divisions.
If itās including the ACC and B12, thatās 76 schools. If itās including PAC, thatās 95 scools.
I think the # they are debating is 76, which probably leaves us on the outside, barring a meteoric rise.
I still think that anything over about 40 is dead weight from a proportional standpoint. Schools 41-76 are much closer to the 77+ schools in terms of budget / finances / interest than they are the top programs. I also donāt think they can generate sufficient revenue to make carrying them on a huge media rights contract viable .
