You have set yourself up for disappointment then based on the current state of college football. The Sun Belt and AAC were virtual equal last year and that is before the conference lost three of its top four teams. Whether you like it when it or not when it comes to football the AAC and Sun Belt are more equal than not.

When we go on the road to a setting like College Station and win…then maybe we can talk about being an equal to, or even edging ahead of App. Until then, they’re the benchmark. Wanting to beat them and supplant them as the benchmark G5 in this region CAN make for a great rivalry. Thinking we’re already somehow “better” or “too good” vis a vis their program is laughable at this juncture.
I don’t mean any disrespect toward you @ninerfan55 I do see what you are aiming for as an athletic program.
