Also armed IRS agents? Did you read about that?
Link?
Under the âmajor dutiesâ section of the listing, the IRS noted that applicants must be willing to âcarry a firearm; must be prepared to protect him/herself or others from physical attacks at any time and without warning and use firearms in life-threatening situations; must be willing to use force up to and including the use of deadly force.â
Applicants also must be willing to carry out their duties for âa minimum of 50 hours per week, which may include irregular hoursâ and be on call to bring the heat â24/7, including holidays and weekends.â

Oh yeah ![]()
Same thing. The IRS job advertisement is self explanatory. Guy just put a spin in it after getting heat.
FWIW, that rehashed NY Post story nothing new. But thatâs not surprising.
New to me. Itâs alarming.
FWIW, the new money allotted to the IRS wonât be to hire 87,000 agents, armed or not. Some of it is to improve service and, you know, maybe get your refund to you within a reasonable time. Yes, some will go toward enforcement, which will force some people to come up with new and inventive ways to not pay taxes.
The claims that enforcement will be targeted to the lower and middle classes are likely bogus.
Why would the IRS try to wring out a few more dollars there when they can get thousands from the wealthy? Does not make sense.
Government does not make sense. In government we trust

clt says they promise not to track you
I hate these stupid fees. I hope theyâre banned.
