The story does not say that reaching 1.5 is time to panic.

clt says that is fake news

The earth has been changing constantly since it’s beginning. Somehow, we must think ourselves more important than we are with always trying to blame humanity for it.

Well, the earth didn’t build those buildings. This isn’t really climate related, imo.

Wait so you are telling me if you build giant buildings in the swamp they might sink? Huh - who would have thought…

I love how climate change is bad but humans have been trying to change the climate to fit their desires for ever. New Orleans is a great example. That city shouldn’t even exist. Houses on the beach where the Native Americans were smart enough to never set up a permanent settlements but yet we build them and then constantly try to fix a beach that is just doing what it has been doing since the dawn of time.

This a big deal.

Surely you don’t believe everything you read?

NY City at its heart is built on bedrock that ranges in age from 1.1 billion to 190 million years.

Did you know the Uwharrie Mountains were once surrounded by ocean and were huge, like 15,000 ft to 20,000 feet tall; with active volcanoes? The range moved inward and the western plate moved under them, shearing off the source of the volcanoes.

Sea levels have risen and dropped countless times before monkeys like us existed. Parts of Colorado have been under seawater before us.

No, of course not. However, just saying that “if” there was any truth to this, it wouldn’t be due to climate change.
