“Hill, entering his sixth season as a college assistant, will make more money for the 2008-09 season than the entire three-man staffs at Ohio State, Washington State and Wisconsin and only $5,000 less than the staff at Texas, a survey done by Rivals.com shows.”

Exactly. I would’ve done it in a much classier way, but I can’t say I wouldn’t have taken the cash.
You’re right. I’m just trying to understand why KSU is doing it. Do they really think they need to pay him $400,000 for the services he provides? $350k and he walks? $300? etc. etc.
Say what you want about how he handled the situation, he would have been stupid to not make the move. Biogger conference, bigger name head coach (at the time) and the opportunity make a significantly larger amount of money.
I remember many people stating on this board that he left for the same amount of money, I knew otherwise, but I think we can all put that rumor to rest.
Chisox, maybe a better question is: Did Bobby send Dalonte a letter asking him to make a pledge for the locker room renovation project as the other former players/managers received?
He did leave for the same amount of money. The $400,000 is in the contract after Huggins left.
Great point. K-State gave him the ridiculous bonus so that he didn’t follow Thuggy Bear to Left Virginia. He’s still a sellout. We can only hope they win less than 10 games this year and he returns to the Island of Misfit Coaches.
