not sure i like that list. i guess we are offering just in case we dont land a guy like sherrod wright. im not sure i like competing for recruits againsts teams like colorado state.

Better take a look at where we are nationally before downplaying other programs. We are not in the same class as some of our previous competitors in the eyes of many recruits. We on the board tend to remember when we were much more of a national factor.

LOL, we are recruiting every single point/combo guard in the Florida juco’s it seems. By the way, this guy is a freshman, so he would have 3 yrs of eligibility.

Has good stats and can shoot the 3 which will be perfect for Lutz’s system.
The bonus is that he has three years of eligibility.
Coaches can show him how they developed Dijuan Harris to one of the best PG in the league after one year of JUCO.

He is visiting Colo St this weekend, but will visit us soon…

This is our guy! Will be here Thursday - Saturday. Can score and run the point. It’s down to us, Georgia and GW.

It’s Derrio…with two r’s.

It’s going to be a great weekend for Derrio to visit campus. I hope all goes well.

Does this mean he is actually class of '09?

Does this mean he is actually class of '09?

Yes. He has three years left.

This was posted on him in March:

Now to a former standout at Mosley, one who made his name on the basketball court. Derrio Green is now with Gulf Coast, and coming off a rather impressive showing at the State tourney earlier this month.

As Tim Owens tells us, that’s left Green with some options, move up to Division One ball now, or spend another year on the Juco level and get even better!

Nobody raised their stock more at this years Juco State Basketball Tournament at Chipola than Mosley graduate Derrio Green.

Green led Gulf Coast to a runner-up finish including a 38-point outburst in the Commodores 1st round overtime win over Miami Dade.

The ncjaa.org site also has him listed as a Freshman.
I just want to get the college experience where the fans are going crazy and they’re chanting your name so just somewhere college basketball is pretty big would be fine.
he shot 44.19% from 3 (76/172), 47.85% from the floor and 75.61% from the line (62/82)

Guh, beat me to it moss. Would be nice if he could play both guard positions and be a better deep threat than Dijuan.

Tim just talked to him, and there’s an update up on NR. Us and GW are his top two. Moxley is his primary recruiter.
