Unless a last minute fifth year senior is signed, Watson’s departure may mean Bryant Thomas gets more minutes as a freshman than originally anticipated. Thomas is raw but he can rebound and block shots.

We are a state university not an Ivy League school. We can’t give a kid a chance for redemption? We hold our athletes to a much higher standard than the students in the general student population.

FWIW, the one restriction Stansbury placed upon Robinson’s release is that he can’t transfer to another C-USA school. Of course, the chance of that happening is zero and none!.

Queens was a top Division II School last year. Queens has high academic standards so if grades were Watson’s issue then the move is puzzling. Is it possible he looked at our recruiting class and no longer saw playing time?

Coaches tweet saying he was available but team needed to be able to accept a D. Not sure much more explanation is needed. If dude was making d’s at community college I don’t blame the coaches for being reluctant.
