Do you approve of the job Dubois is doing?

So are you saying that a former mayor of Charlotte wouldn't be more pro Charlotte than a candidate from another part of the state? Because most of the people through out the state do think this. Historically that's always been a problem for a candidate from Charlotte. Most of the people through out the state see us as the Great State of Mecklenburg. That we have our own agenda, different from the rest of the state.

Exactly…
You’re right, you didn’t say that. But what you did do is tell somebody who thinks it would be good for UNCC for McCrory to be governor that it isn’t a factor. So I was asking if you were saying they shouldn’t vote for McCrory.

Nobody thinks that the name change is going to be on the top of his agenda. If a candidate has 100 different selling points, and only one of them is that he supports a name change for the university, that’s one in favor of him over the other candidates.
I don’t care who anybody on here votes for in any election. And I did not say that his Charlotte experience would not be a factor. All I said was that “he will probably have his hands full with other issues…”

I would be happy to see him redirect some funding towards this region, whether it be highway dollars, mass transit or higher education. I grew up in eastern NC and I can vouch for the fact that the state is very Raleigh-centric in all ways. It would be nice to see the largest city in the state get some of the same things that Raleigh does.

the countdown is on for end of year / May newsletter

can’t wait to see how many backhanded insults he can squeeze in this time

Why is there still no May newsletter???

It still blows my mind that there are 11 people out there who approve of what CHP is doing…

The 11 are CHP and his senior staff.

I am proud of the job he is doing, because I hate Charlotte.
