No kidding about FSU and Miami, now those two have been the yankees of college recruiting as far as football goes, I guess they are applying their technique to basketball. Sucks for us however, the top tier schools like duke + kansas will attract the best athletes because of exposure and perhaps their own dirty tricks. However seems like we are always at odds with clemson or FSU, pathetic bottom feeder football schools, and has FSU had anyone drafted since sam cassell? Tim pickett maybe, Clemson, their last player drafted was greg buckner, I don’t see how a 6’4" small forward with no outside shot got drafted, but whatever.
Here is an example of Miami’s standards, a few years ago Miami was recruiting a star linebacker, but had to turn him down because he got a felony while they were recruiting. Problem was it wasn’t his first, he had 10 prior, the 11th was just one too many i guess. What a joke.

And Buckner has have a nice little 6 year NBA career so far: Greg Buckner Bio
NC State offered Mack yesterday. Kentucky has requested tape and are now sending letters. His recruitment will be begin to spiral out of control.
Just reading that 6-7 Kansas freshman wing Alex Galindo may be transferring. Some may remember that he was able to get out of his NLOI with UTEP when then-coach Jimmy Gillespie left the Miners to take over at Texas A&M after Coach Wat was fired. Anyway, in light of the talk about Mack and FSU and Miami-FL, this tidbit about Galindo:
Speculation is that Galindo may transfer to the University of Miami in Florida.Link: Galindo considering transferring from Kansas
Mack said he’s got a top five of Miami, Florida State, N.C. State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest – although he’s resigned himself to the fact that Wake probably won’t offer him a scholarship.
He now has a 41 inch vertical…unfortunately, he won’t be jumping thru Halton’s roof.
This is just sad. If it wasn’t for the acc we would have a verg good chance with him. If it was top tier teams(beside Wake here…, but these are bottom feeder. Come on man, represtin the QC (ala Jobey) and stay home.

According to Mack, he now has 2 favorites - Miami and Virginia Tech - with N.C. State and Florida State as the next 2.
He made an unofficial visit to Wake Forest on Tuesday, May 17th.

His top 3 now are: Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest .
VT board is reporting they are in good shape now that Miami and Wake have already signed 2G’s.
Need the stat last time VT was in the NCAA tournament ? 3 decades ??
Last time they made two tournaments in a row ?
this kid has his head really far up the ACC’s ass. VA Tech? are you kidding me

Sounds like Florida is now in the mix and is one of his leaders as well.

Virginia Tech, Florida, UConn, Miami and Charlotte are his top five. He is going to visit VT, Florida and UCONN.
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Mack made a visit to Marquette last week.
According to an article on Rivals (link), Mack is down to Florida and VT as his leaders with Boston College maybe getting a visit. Under Mack’s profile we are not even listed.
Signed with Florida.
Hold everything…

Rivals says he’s leaning to Memphis instead of Kentucky. Also says he asked for his release because his position was over-recruited, not because he failed to qualify. Interesting…
