Drink it in

This is what it was like. This is the way it should be. Carry on with the fun!

I can’t believe you guys rushed the court… they were only the #17 team in the country… act like you’ve been there… damn…

just kidding, I hope some of you newer students enjoyed it. Like S said, this is what it used to be like and should be like (except we should have a contending record).

i rushed the court and was at home by myself getting drunk! what a fun game…wished i got out of class at cpcc sooner so i could be there…awesome game…never been so excited over tivo. haha. great game. no doubt…ever after the tip.

DAMN STRAIGHT !!!

First time ive been down in 104 since the 2005 season…SOOOO GLAD i got to be there tonight!! Just like old times!

That’s what rushing is about. It’s spontaneous. We were saying ā€œNo, no no, we’re not going toā€ but it just happened.

There is no need to mention rushing before a game. Just let it happen if it happens.

[QUOTE]CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -No. 16 Xavier’s latest loss in its puzzling slide left coach Seth Miller fuming and Charlotte celebrating like old times.

Able to corral its young but raw talent and finally getting top scorer Lamont Mack hot late in the game, the 49ers stunned No. 16 Xavier 65-60 on Thursday, dropping the struggling Musketeers to second place in the Atlantic 10.

On a night the 49ers retired the jersey of 2005 Conference USA player of the year Eddie Basden, the 49ers (10-15, 4-7) played like the teams that used to contend in that competitive league before realignment, leaving their suffering fans pouring onto the court for a confetti-dropping party.

ā€˜ā€˜This team, I’ve said it all year, has never quit and never stopped believing, despite all the injuries and adversity that we’ve had,’’ coach Bobby Lutz said. ''It’s amazing how hard they work and how much they believe that we can beat anybody we play.

ā€˜ā€˜We also know that we’ve got a fine margin for error.’’

sly fox. but this was my first ranked team upset and first court-rushing. feels good.

Not to beat a dead horse, but again, this shows how far the program has fallen in the last 5 years, that the simple act of beating a ranked team warrants a court rush. Also, the quotes from Lutz, talking about how hard the team works and how they ā€œThinkā€ they can beat anyone is pretty depressing. Why would you play a sport if you didnt expect to win every game. I guess the goals of our program these days are to work hard, and Think you can win. Barf. That being said, I dont blame the fans for rushing the floor, this is definetly going to be the apex of our season. Heres to next year, or the year after that, or the year after that.

I think winning the conference tourney's championship game will be the highlight.

I’m always amazed at how people just can’t be happy with a W over a ranked team.

It’s the Niner Nation Special. That’s what I call it in my head.

Are you ****ing kidding me?? I get so sick of reading ā€œthis shows how far the program has fallen in the last 5 years, that the simple act of beating a ranked team warrants a court rush.ā€ We may have fallen but that doesnt mean that our True Fans shouldnt get happy when we beat a F’n ranked team… Please do us all a favor and crawl back into your hole until we lose another game… Thank You

#19 Mizzou rushed the court after beating #16 Kansas…
I am not saying I agree with it, but we rushed the court in 04-05 when we beat Louisville and we were ranked that year (17th at the highest i believe). It is fun, we encourage it when we shoot confetti in the air after a win, and it pumps me up here in Austin when I see it.

I also remember UNC-CH rushing the floor when they upset Duke in one of their down years recently, but hey, they are sad and had fallen fast. Get over it.

Last ranked win and last court rush was 05 vs. #17 Cincy. You lose.

I watched it on TV, it was nice to feel some excitement again. Halton looked good on TV as did the student section. I am with S9, absorb what happened last night and demand more.

rushing the court seemed to fit last night, it was a monkey off the back of sorts
