Good thing for EB that CP's fist will not end up in EB's NS.

Yea with the way Basden dominated Hodge in their match up, Paul would have been a pushover. :D

You’re a damn tool

With the name “turd furgooson” I guess that is all we can expect out of the “stool”.

QUOTE (KTown49er @ Jun 19 2005, 09:58 PM)

From FOXSports.com:

Eddie Basden, Charlotte. Bruce Bowen has stuck around the NBA for a reason: Defensive stoppers are hard to find. Charlotte's Basden put on a clinic in Chicago, frustrating many a prospect with his footwork and athleticism. Eddie has, if not the prototypical NBA body, a fair approximation (for a shooting guard), and the offensive skills to justify both practice and playing time at the next level.

Eddie’s prospect page on NBA.com:

Prospect Profile: Eddie Basden

Eddie is not even listed on NBADRAFT.net anymore…

He’s also not listed among the top seniors on DraftCity.com. Hmmm…

DraftCity.com: Player Rankings: NCAA Seniors

Wouldn’t the best thing for Eddie be not getting drafted? Let’s face it, not many second round players end up with a team, but they own your rights. Going through the process has given him access to the right people and now maybe he will get invited to camps for teams that really want his skills, then picked up.

Eddie is back on the NBADraft.net mock draft. Last player selected!

Detroit. Obviously he would have been the difference last night…in shutting down Manu.

Notice the TOP 5 LIST

Defenders

 1. Joey Graham
 2. Deron Williams
 3. Eddie Basden
 4. Danny Granger
 5. Marvin Williams

Not sure if it is better to get drafted or not and be a free agent. But many 2nd round picks make their teams these days.

By the way this has to be one of the weakest drafts of all time, especially the lottery players.

i could understand that point if it were the 7th round of the NFL draft, but id take being drafted any day

I heard the NJ Nets GM on WFAN today and he said while the lottery is weak, the 2nd round is stong and full of NBA players. I know the Nets were really high on Eddie, so that is a good sign.

EB is one of my ALL TIME NINERS. I wish him much happiness and success in life. But the nba needs to DIE. Much like the nhl has. I was CRUSHED that the chances of a lockout next season ended last week. The nba: 9 months a year of punks and crap and crap and punks. (Except for Tim Duncan: class act.)

Eddie will not be playing in the NBA next year unless he developes a jump shot over night. I know some of you think he can shoot but at his size, he is well below what he needs to be as a shooter.

Galen Young faced the same problems…NBA defender, NBA body, all the work ethic but not a good enough shooter at that level.

Eddie will be a good player in Europe and make some money.

They just showed clips of him on Sportscenter as one of the steals in the draft. Others I remembered were Travis Deiner and Luther Head.
