ESPN rates C-USA 2012-13 men's hoops OOC

And after this season, that “strength” jumps ship to the Big East. And I won’t be surprised if UTEP ends up making a long-desired move to the Mountain West, thus taking the “strength” from the western half of C-USA.

He’s the newcomer I expected the least from this year until I saw this clip yesterday.

That was a genuine answer. Don’t think he was blowing smoke at all.

That video has one view…and was posted by a name Still Jones. Come on man.

stith also had an offer from vcu. does that mean that ecu is better than vcu? perhaps there were other factors at play like i dont know…playing time.

We play in CUSA Eastern Division where all the stength of our conference is. You don’t play as strong of a conference schedule as we do and Lebo has faced and beat more top top 100 RPI teams while at ECU overall than Major has.
Again, you only reply to parts of everyone’s comments. I asked when was the last time ECU had won 20 games in a season? Please let me know. The difference between you and us is that we actually know we have been crap for some years now, yet you consider ECU’s results over the last couple of years as actually good, which is laughable.

“You don’t play as strong of a conference schedule as we do”

Wow, this just keeps on getting better and better. You do realise that Southern Miss, Tulsa and UAB all have new coaches this year right? They are all in rebuilding mode and will not be very good at all. So you play five games over these teams, plus against Rice, Tulane, SMU and Houston. Yeah Memphis and Marshall will be tough NCAA calibre teams, but that’s it.

On the other hand, we face potenial tournament teams in VCU, St Joes, Temple, Saint Louis, UMass and to a lesser extent Butler.

Care to take that comment back or?
Still Jonesing, still waiting for a response?

He also had an offer from Virginia if he prepped a year, and was getting interest from Duke and Wake. He was about to become a very sought after prospect so we were fortunate to get him mid summer. What it means we are recruiting at a high level, and are certainly a player in this region for top mid level talent if not one of the most desired locations with our new practice facility on the way and other improvements in the program and the staff. Those were things Stith cited in why he picked us.

you may have new facilities but i will guess that still not close to the level of ours, vcu, uva so that is a moot point. you just got a practice facility? welcome to the 21st. century. we have had one for years. if a kid picked us over duke, i would guess that playing time is a factor not because of better facilities.

Good grief, is it Dec 1st yet so we can kick the $hit out of ECU and get this guy off our board!

Please provide proof of Wake and Duke’s interest or where in print UVA was going to extend him an offer if he prepped. I’m not saying the guy was good, but if you want to just throw names around, we can play that game as well. Hell, apparently, word was that Wake and Clemson were looking at Lester, but I’ve never seen that be fully substantiated so I don’t throw it around as fact. You seem to have an issue in dealing with absolutes.

Haha

I have a video on you tube that has almost 2 million hits and have been contacted about advertising for money with you tube several times.

Just for you Char

Stith had offers from East Carolina, Charlotte, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He received interest from Duke, Richmond, Virginia, and Wake Forest http://virginia.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1400824

Stith counts eight scholarship offers so far, among them Virginia, VCU,
East Carolina, Charlotte

2013 Brunswick forward Brandan Stith holds a UVa offer as a 2014 recruit.

During the season he averaged more than 19 points a game, seven blocks, 11 rebounds, 80% from the free throw line and averaged three assists a game… rivals.com

He’s 6-7 with a 7-1 wing span Virginia 3A player of the year. If he was still out there right now I doubt either of us would get him.

I have a video of your mom.

We also got another Virginia kid over the other big Virginia school, Virginia Tech.

White, who’s 6-foot-7, was named MVP of the prestigious Five-Star Camp, an individual skills camp hosted byHampden-Sydney.

“That’s when the recruiting for him just really went crazy, at the end of June,” Staples said. “He’s had a really big month of July and it’s just carried over into AAU.”

White received offers from Virginia Tech, William & Mary, Richmond and East Carolina, which won him over on the visit earlier this month.

http://www2.newsadvance.com/sports/2012/jul/24/ves-white-commits-east-carolina-ar-2081568/

Cincy had also offered. If we didn’t get him in mid July we probably wouldn’t have got him either.

We kicked the crap out of the Virginia schools and got 3 commits from VA this year. UTEP had also offered 2 of them as well, so that’s probably the best all around program left in new CUSA right there as well we beat out too.

stith looks like a decent prospect. not a star though. if you get atewe over us i will give you credit but if you think reasons other than playing time were the reasons that you beat charlotte, vcu and uva for this kid you are drinking some powerful kool aid.

Forget for a moment Stith’s father was a 10 year NBA vet, and his brother is a top 50 player. Those bloodlines alone, along with the fact he’s already a lot bigger than either of them is intriguing enough if he ever does devoplop ball skills.

Even if he doesn’t the guy blocked 7 shots a game and hit 80% of his FT’s. I don’t care what level you are on, that’s big time talent and a unique skill set to be able to do those things. Hell he blocked about as many shots his JR year as the guy you hyped as the savior of your program (Nickerson)averaged POINTS his SR year.

We’ll never sign a guy of his talent, is what you told me many times after he signed :))

Ok Constanza. It’s not a lie…
if he ever does devoplop ball skills.
While I find your idea of “devo-plopping” ball skills intriguing, I have to question whether you think this plopping is going to happen at ECU. Has that ever happened before (i.e. skills) at ECU?

YOU JUST GOT DEVO-PLOPPED!!!
