Favorite Niners dunks ever..

All the talk of Coley’s dunks last night got me thinking about this. Here’s my list…

  1. The Eddie Basden “teabagging incident” vs Houston in '05. Nastiest dunk I’ve ever seen in person. Ever.

  2. Curt’s spin move dunk on Alabama in '04 that had Andy Katz writing about it on espn.com the next day.

  3. Coley’s nasty tomahawk dunk vs Davidson last year.

  4. CJ Pgford’s almost from the foul line dunk vs Tulane in the CUSA tourney. (unfortunately he got called for a charge)

  5. Coley’s follow off a miss at App State. One of the sickest follow up dunks off a missed shot that I’ve ever seen.

I wish I was around for Jarvis and Kinch’s dunks back in the day…

I think the best one I ever saw was Coley’s alley-oop agains LIU. That pass was thrown way too high and he still somehow got it.

The best I ever saw was a Jarvis Lang dunk on a baseline inbounds play. The pass was thrown up by the rim, going towards the middle of the lane, and he grabbed it with two hands and dunked it while on the defensive players back. I cannot remember who they were playing, but that was the best one I have seen from a Niners player.

Eddie Basden @ South Florida. Massive
The Kelvin Price coast to coast tomahawk
I can think of about 10 Jarvis dunks that were sick.
Curt vs. Bama was silly

Rodney White throwing the ball off the backboard from the 3 point line, while I watched at the free throw line and got dunked on.

any youtube vids of these?

haha, NLP has also been posterized by Rodney White

Rodney White taking the ball out on the wing by the visiting team’s announcers, driving the lane on an L pattern on two defenders and posterizing them in front of the band. I think his entire forearm went in the cyclinder on that one. Aside from Eddie’s, thats the best dunk on a defender (in Rodney’s case… defenders) I’ve seen live.

He was lucky I’m a Niners fan. In HS anytime someone tried to dunk near me I got a flagrant foul.

That was versus South Carolina wasn’t it?

It wasn’t his best but this one pretty much let Memphis know it wasn’t going to be easy that night.

I know… how many times do you see plays like that on SC and it’s in the top 10 and when they do the highlights they claim it as a game changer? Hell you’re lucky if you see a handful of those a week during the conf. season.

Might have been '02, my memory has faded of the exact game. For you younger 9ers that didn’t get to see Rodney/Demon/Jobey/Diego/Zimmerman/Cam/Kenkay… well, those were fun times (2000-2001)…we spanked South Carolina and Miami two games in a row and shot lights out from the 3 line as a team in both contests (school records I believe back 2 back). We won the Conf USA Tourny as well. Won a first round game versus Tennessee in NCAAs but came up short to #1 seed Illinois.

For those of you that have only known the A10…sorry.

You are welcome for that one. :shades:

What about when Nips took his shirt of and dunked in the dunk contest at midnight madness.

I remember when Marcus Bennett did that at the 05 Madness.
