Miguels is legit. Go to church near there and sunday special is fajitas for $5. Go there about twice a month.
Barbque king is awesome - great pick.
Mr. G’s is the best for breakfast. Solid choice.
Luwanns soulfood is also a hidden gem. Literally 5 minutes from my house and has some delish food.

Can’t believe I left off Zack’s. Those burgers are greasy pieces of Heaven.

You sir have very good taste. Nice list.

Not that those aren’t good restaurants, but you should try and branch away from the chains (maybe you do, I dunno, I’m just sayin). Charlotte has some real gems to offer. unfortunately the Univ area doesn’t have many of them.

Sushi - Nikko
Italian - Frankies
Mexican - Maria Bonita
Pizza - Tonys
Other - The Roasting Company/Moes

Steak - Sullivan’s
Japanese - Nikko
Seafood - Vinnie’s Raw Bar
Mexican - Don Pedro
BBQ - Barbecue King/Mac’s Speed Shop
Generic - Harper’s
Pizza - Villa Francesca

I live less than a mile from the Roasting Co now but have yet to try it. I’ve only heard great things about it.

The Roasting Co is ridculous good. The Chicken Queso with squash casserole and a Miller Lite for a Friday lunch always makes the last few hours of my work week go by fast.

OK, so let me expand a bit:

Mexican - Cabo Fish Taco
Italian - Maggiano’s
Burgers - Penguin
Seafood - Cabo Fish Taco
Pizza - Revolution Pizza & Ale House

I do but just like some of the chains more.

I would have to change my pizza pick though to Brixx. The chicken pizza on wheat is awesome. Papa John’s is 2nd though.

If you like chains more than local restaurants, you’re going to the wrong local restaurants.
