I want to say two things:
I always liked Fearne. Talked to him VERY briefly at the first football game he attended after being hired. Seemed like a good, no nonsense dude. Really wanted it to work out for him. He will be paid handsomely regardless of this, so that eases the blow I am sure.
Feel bad for the staff. There is usually a lot of turnover. Wondering if any of our old timers have taken into consideration that Dink may not survive this change?

The drought since 2005 seems to be featuring far more prominently than it was the last time we did this.
FWIW, it looks like the entire coaching staff has been deleted from the website already. Guess that answers Dink’s fate.
It’s a shame, because 10 years ago you could argue that we had some pieces to build something slowly, however now everyone is a 1 year rental. You have to capitalize while they’re here

The argument is you can rebuild quickly…the reality is that’s not easy to do and requires a lot of resources ($$). I initially really liked Fearne and I still think he’s a good guy that knows hoops. But it was time to move on.
I echo your sentiment. Often I put people in two categories… those I would have a beer with and those I wouldn’t. Fearne was in the have a beer category. Sanchez was in the I’ll throw a beer in your face category 
. Unfortunately the basketball seemed the same between the two. He’s a good guy though.
I do hate that Dink got attached to this staff and its fate. I do imagine a new coach could keep him around for continuity if they decided though.

I just want to win. I don’t care about keeping anyone, regardless of their affiliation with / success with the program in the past. This place needs a hard reset. Dink will be fine.
