Maybe weâll start Mills this time if we play them!!!
Weâll be in Chapel Hill or Columbia, most likely. Just depends on who the other automatic berths in the area conferences are should we get the A-10 berth also. Charlottesville and Tallahasee are also good possibilities.
We win three games this weekend and jumped an amazing 2 spots in the RPI (#72). Ughhhhhhhhh!!! We are definitely playing for the automatic, but as we saw last season that will not be a sure thing. We didnât exactly wear out Rhode Island, either, and that worries me. Getting the bye for the A-10 Tourney may come down to the last weekend at Richmond, the only other A-10 team in the Top 100.

donât worry about âwearing outâ URI enough. We swept them and according to what I was told, that is not an easy place to win. They play hard and the weather is frigid. We still are one of the NCAA leaders in terms of avg victory margin. Offense has ebbs and flows where pitching and defense tend to be more constant. Donât be surprised if we scord 40 runs the next 4 games.
I still think Hibbs wanted to hide Mills from UNC so they wouldnt see his stuff- for the possible regional site at UNC. Just a hunch.

Yeah, itâs chicken and the egg at this point. Hard to tell how good we really are because we arenât playing anyone worth a darn on a consistant basis. Chapel Hill was a good test, and Wake and VT will be also, but they are three games out of our last 23. Hard to get a gauge off of those, especially when we arenât throwing our best pitchers.

Thatâs the wisest comment of the day! Iâd much rather almost beat the Tarholes in the regular season and then hit a top of the 9th homer on them in the NCAAs
I didnt read the thread so maybe somebody already posted this, but maybe this bracket system was why we didnât send our best guy against UNC. If we are gonna be stuck in a regional with them at their home, then that game was a pretty good chance to size them up and see what it takes to beat them.
That would be worse than having to play in Chapel Hill. Three west coast teams and us. They all ride a bus and we have a 6 hour flight. We would be the only ones with jet lag. I guess it beats not qualifying, though.
