FIRE LAMBERT!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire Lambert.

[ul][li]Sub standard recruiter[/li]
[li]Awful judge of coaching talent[/li]
[li]Atrocious game planner[/li]
[li]Terrible at executing game adjustments[/li][/ul]
If he is the HC to start the 2018 season we will be digging that hole even deeper. The time to act is now or we will have hoops 2.0 on our hands.
The hoops 2.0 is my biggest concern. Hiring major wasn’t great but Doubling down on him when we should have cut bait is what really sank our once proud program. Hope we dont repeat that.
That’s what worries me.

Basketball is a lot easier to rebuild then football, if we cut ties from him at the end of this season we wouldn’t be rock bottom. We still have some talent.

But if football hits rock bottom, that’s a 5 year rebuild job, and that assumes the coach we hire is good. We can’t afford to stick with Lambert.

Agree. A big concern of mine is also regarding if some of Lambert’s poor decisions were dictated by Judy and Phil. A prime example is Riley F. Regardless, Lambert is not getting it done.

Bumping bc Lambert is bad at this

OK - I’m finally jumping on this bandwagon. Fire them all with extreme prejudice.

unless he goes 6-6 I’m still on board with this.

Sorry guys. I cannot get behind this. If Rose wasn’t there to make the decision on the next coach yes, but all means.

But our AD has shown no ability to make good hires.

Don’t forget the jury is still out on Price.

I simply do not want her hiring another revenue sport coach.

Full stop.

I have no confidence her selection would be better than lambert and it may be worse.

Based on the evidence we have we have to assume it will be as bad or worse than lambert.

If she hires our next coach we are doomed to an additional 5 years of mediocrity.

We should hire a search committee for our next coach and Judy’s input should be limited. You must make a coaching change after this season. Recruiting will be virtually impossible with lame duck Lambert in place. We just lost our one and only 4 star recruit. No one will come to games knowing there is zero chance of a win. New blood is something to market and build some hope for the future.

Let’s be honest…mediocrity would be a HUGE improvement for this program. Judy needs to go, and she can take Lambert with her.

This isn’t the NBA where tanking will help the program. The more we lose, the worse our reputation will be for future recruits, fans, etc. We need to cut bait after the season. Any change is better than staying on our current course.

Anyone catch the postgame presser? Was he pissed? Or was the the same ole “aww shucks, great effort” bs?

That will tell all I want to know.

Pissed??? LOL deff. the “aw shucks.” There is no way this guy is ever going to change. Vanilla as hell! He lacks the FIRE this program needs! Judy doesn’t play with fire…

Even if he were pissed, I question if Phil and Judy want him displaying such “unprofessional” behavior in a post game interview.

We are 0-5 and played 4 games versus some of the worst teams in the nation (A&T is good @ FCS, but come on…)

We will surely go 0-6, and it’s looking very likely we’ll go 0-12. If we keep this garbage up CUSA will kick us to the curb for App!

But our Womens Volleyball team is SO GOOD! This will certainly keep us in CUSA!

Obviously, that happening is a long shot.
Right now, the addition of football and the quick rise to FBS aren’t working out at all. Its looking like our athletic dept bit off more than it could chew.
We need much more than a new head football coach. I’m old and remember well when out athletics held so much promise for the future. I’d like to have that hopeful feeling again.

I think we all agree it’s time for a new A.D. I also remember the good ole days when the future looked bright for Niner Athletics and would love to see them again, but sadly I doubt this happens until we get some new leadership.

I want an AD that understands football, men’s basketball, and baseball are much more important than volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball.

Lemay had tears in his eyes talking about the loss and it was evident it was painful. Lambert talked about the need to keep working hard with little emotion. When you have a 29 -14 lead in the middle of the third quarter and lose again, I would expect the coach to be pissed. I would also expect a better plan than to keep doing the same things.

Judy is in over her head as AD now with football. She managed to cover up her incompetence with Mullins, Watkins, and Lutz in basketball although the program was in decline with Lutz. The Major hire and extension were horrible decisions. I still am hopeful about Price

The only way out of this mess is to clean house. The longer the current situation continues, the more difficult it will be to get back.

Just a quick reminder that Lambert is on an 8 game losing streak.

Is that all?

Lambert is 4-22 against FBS TEAMS. There is hardly any risk in doing worse than that.
