Fire Ron Sanchez

I changed my opinion after the last post. Keep Sanchez. Bring Lutz back in some form of consulting role; similar to his recent assignments. He would bring immediate synergy. All to gain, little to lose.

Let’s give Will time to work his magic. The move to the AAC has the potential to change everything in a positive way.

Let’s invest our money in needed infrastructure and expansion.

Lutz isn’t coming back

I have a copy of the contract and extensions. You can call and get one too through the FOIA.
I’ll post if someone can tell me how.

Then neither is our program.

Dude, Lutz isn’t the second coming of John Wooden. Were we better under him? Absolutely. Are there other guys out there that can get the job done here? Hell yes.

Granted we’re 0-3 our last three at bats for hoops hiring, everybody can see that

The contract should clarify if it is 100% guaranteed. For instance Major’s base was but not his supplemental. Bobby’s was 100% guaranteed. Does your copy specify the different sources of the pay and how much is guaranteed?

Yes, this is an important distinction. An article I found from 2019 states his base pay is $450k and he has incentives above that up to $200k. The Charlotte Biz Journal article from Oct 2021 states his base pay is still $450k. Any firing, Charlotte would only be on the hook for the base pay x remainder of contract.

It should also specify if there is an offset on that should he get another coaching job and we have to pay the difference. We would still need to be prepared to pay the full amount but that could offer some financial relief.

Finally reached the point that I do not care anymore!

2008-2009 is the type of season we would be having.

clt bets we could get mark price for a reasonable deal

Everybody listen to the Sausage King!

Sorry, 2nd extension was after year 2 and not year 3. My bad.

Yes. The base pay is all he is owed. That is the original $450k plus the $225k raise.

Nope. You’re still here.

Original language on base salary

Does Mike Hill have a contract or is he just a normal state employee? What’s his salary look like? He needs to fix this $&@#.

First extension. I was wrong. This is a $225k increase to supplemental. So we would only owe the original $450k. We double the supplemental.

So we would owe $1.8 mil if we let him go the end of this year.

Sorry for the confusion. Was going off a poor memory earlier.

Here is the offset clause and includes any radio or tv analyst job as well as coaching
