I’m still in patience mode. I don’t know if moving fast or not is the best choice. And I am fine with silence right now. I just want this done right. This is far too important of a hire to muck it up.

No it’s not supposed to be entertaining for us. This is nothing more than an employment decision. It is much more critical they get this right than if we feel entertained.
Now if you just want random rumors we can throw stuff out there.

Just listened to “The Song Remains the Same” for the first time in forever! 
What I was kidding about is that dumb Texas A&M has to pay him $95.6 million if they fire him without cause this year. That money sure would go a long way for most any university

I like the list and the way you came about your top 4. Looking at the coming weeks, theoretically, we could pull the trigger and hire #3 or #4 after Saturday’s game, right? The other 2 we would have to wait at least another week.

If it is Mack I bet he leaves before the bowl/playoffs. If he was a coordinator and it was the playoffs that might be a different story.
Im a Vol fan, but I am not that high on Mack. Feels like only a marginal upgrade over Healy. I still want someone who has shown they can win at the FBS level.
Also I still have Mullen and Herman on my reckless speculation list.
The more I think about it the more I like Mullen, UCF was able to land Malzahn so maybe we have a shot. He had Mississippi State #1, that’s impressive.
Malzahn is making 2.3 million.

I feel like Mullen could pull a guy like Mack over as a higher level assistant if you really want a guy like him on staff.
Not saying he would or would want to - just trying to put things in perspective.
