I am curious as to where we stand compared to the rest of the AAC in terms of what we invest in football compared to them, because I am shocked that we out spend USF in football, I found stats relating to overall athletic budgets, but I want to know where we stand in football only compared to AAC programs
Depending on wording they might not owe all of that. With Bobbyās contract we screwed up and guaranteed the entire thing. With Ronās itās only his base that is guaranteed.

We know we offered Mike Houston over a mil last go round. We know we have a higher operating budget now than we did then and we know we have significantly higher AAC TV money coming in, which should also increase sponsorship money, etc. We could also have a donor step up and say Iāll fund 100k of assistants pool or something along those lines.
Based on those things and that AAC coaches generally are making at least 1.3 mil I think that tells us where we are likely starting the compensation package.
When you fire a coach, that is not something that is typically budgeted, so that money has to be found and locked in. That money could be released or lowered if the person fired finds employment that partially or completely offsets salaried owed with a role specified in the contract. For Will IIRC it was any job related to football (college, pro, media) would count as an offset to his base salary owed.
Now is the time to start a symbolic stadium expansion with a huge green wrecking ball swinging for all to see

All of my normal sources are in total lockdown. They are letting very very little filter out.

If we hear anything, I suspect itāll be leaks from agents or those being interviewed after two pr screwups with houston and firing healy
Still early no matter when you fired Healy.
As much as I crave some rumors Iām glad for the silence. Itās getting close to time when something can happen though, under two weeks till the regular season ends.
Unless itās a Mullen, Holtz, or someone not coaching.
