Football Coaching Staff

I’ll keep it updated as we add new staff members. We may also have different staff positions then the ones I’ve listed so I’ll change those as needed too.

hopefully we’ll be adding 2 more to that soon!

Trevor is Coach’s nephew. I like that he has a financial background. That could help being DOFO for a start up program.

James Adams (formerly of Wake and Wofford) hired as a defensive position coach per David Scott on Twitter.

That is correct. Cornerbacks coach at Wofford but played Linebacker so could do either position. Has recruiting experience in Florida, Georgia and NC.

I put him in as Recruiting Coordinator because that’s my understanding of his role until we start practicing next year. The Assumption is he’ll either take over Cornerbacks or Linebacks and he may/may not stay as permanent RC.

Reported Adams hiring over the weekend.

Great looking staff thus far.

So is Trevor Lambert confirmed or just speculation at this point?

Yeah fo sho a good hire. Not sure about the Trevor Lambert hire, though. Jury is still out on that move, but I do like the James Adams addition.

I will try to put a bio up over on the Goldrush.

Not included in press release because his position is Administrative, not Coaching.

That’s what got me there is no mention of him so didn’t look to be official yet. Although I don’t really see the head coaches nephew turning down a job offer.

No worries, this is VERY official.

I can’t wait to see those Niner DBacks trying out that “cat” coverage scheme.

I’m just saying…

[quote=“Nugget”]I have a feeling that basketball recruiting and football recruiting are really different beasts, and I don’t know enough about the football kind. But if there is any correlation, the typical DC is not a kid and you may need a young, hip coach to make the early connections to a bunch of 17 year old HS football players that think they are too cool. Hiring a young position coach that is a recruiting specialist may round out the staff just right at this point.

Also, did you notice that David Scott has apparently gotten tired of Lambert’s pronouns? It looks like he replaces ‘We’ with (I), ‘Us’ with (me), etc.

Some input on James Adams from the Wofford forum. Just posted today, so there’s only one reply thus far.
