i am nervous as to how this will come out. 4200 votes is more than I EVER thought would happen. I was thinking that about 3500 total votes would come in.
Iâm headed to sleep guys, big day for football, [COLOR=#009900]4352[/COLOR] votes as of 10:40pm, that is approx 20.2% of the student body.
For tomorrow, Iâm trying to get some preliminary numbers to see how people are voting. Iâve already gotten several angry emails from people saying that Charlotte shouldnât have football. So there are definately some haters out there.
SGA has never had as much as 10% of the student body vote in anything so this is a big day for us, and for CFI and for the university community. Thanks for all your help. SGA Exec Branch did tri-folds to place in eating areas tonight, so theyâll be up tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon the Public Relations committee in the senate will be chalking and putting up flyers in computer labs.
The goal is 50% of the student body and we are only 6408 votes away from that goal. Given two weeks and a lot of publicity on our part we can do it.

The turnout we have had today only makes me more proud to that I got to UNC Charlotte and that I am a Forty-Niner. A tip of the cap to all that made the first day a success. I think we arenât giving ourselves and the school enough credit, I think we can go for 75% of the student body.

I agree, if we keep pushing people to vote. Just from asking people I see on a day to day basis, almost all voted or planned on doing it hen they got back to their rooms.
I, no, WE, are proud of our school. I commend all of the Niners out there in Charlotte and beyond.
20.2% is amazing. I think that the vote wonât see half that response today. Most of the people that felt strongly one way or the other have already voted.
I would love to get some preliminary results though.

Thatâs about 25% (maybe a little more). Thatâs pretty darn good.
i think they should end it this Friday. I donât see it breaking 6000 by too much. Anyone who feels strongly in either way has already voted.
