Iâd love to see our next AD hired from Houston, Cincinnati, Memphis, or USF. They are all public schools in larger metro areas and have elevated their sports programs since we shared the same conference home.
Wasnât someone supposed to be leaving or getting fired this week?
Someone is leaving the AD, yes. I donât know the exact timeline, not too juicy IMO.
I am putting this here because it is not worth another thread. It will be announced soon that someone is leaving. I think the people of the board will generally view this as a good opportunity, until we do three pages on Judy hiring the replacement.
I canât tell you who it is, but I did want to stir up the muck, so have at it. I think you may find out next week.
I said that it wasnât worthy of its own thread. Clearly, that alerts you that it isnât Rose/Lambert/Price. I suspect you have heard of this person, and the right hire could make a difference. I would not look for a big announcement, it will not be in the paper, it is not that kind of position. This person has accepted another job not at a university. I cannot tell you who because it is not my news to tell. I wish them good luck, and I hope we hire somebody with good experience.

Doesnât matter who they hire because no matter what position it is they take marching orders from Judy. You can have the best troops in the world but if your general sucks you arenât going to win the war.
When Jerry Richardson fired George Seifert after going 1-15 in 2001 (where they lost the final 15), Richardson said the following:
ââThe energy has been sucked out of our organization and our fan base.ââ ââWeâve lost 15 in a row. We were 31st in the league in offense and 31st in defense. It couldnât continue. I had to make a change.ââ
That quote is so ironic, considering we play in Jerry Richardson Stadium. However, that quote can be used to describe what Judy Rose has single handedly done to Charlotte 49er athletics. Every major revenue sports decision she has made has been an utter failure.
We need to start booing Judy every time she appears for anything, theyâve been really good about putting her in good PR spots, but at this point, we need to start being relentless. We used to be known as âThe Philadelphia Eagles fans of Tobacco Roadâ and we need to bring that back out.
In summary: Even if Judy is dressed as Santa, and is asking a child what they want for Christmas, we need to start booing.

Iâd be all for this, except now I fear that those fans actually willing to attend games are more of the sort that wouldnât join in with the booing, and perhaps even attempt to stop it. We have a bunch of naive supporters that think we should just be content with having football, and donât approve of attacking Lambert/Judy because theyâre âgood peopleâ, and because our program is âstill new.â
The boobirds should make a point to sit together and be as loud as possible for most effect.
