Any chance they’ll be able to increase their coverage area Lefty? What they have at night is horrible.
Will they have online broadcast? or will it be the same as last year’s?
Heard this today on the ride home.
A whale of a move is coming to Fox Sports 730, stay tuned.
I hope its not Mark Packer. It has been about time for his non-compete clause to expire.

But don’t you know? He is the number 1 sports radio personality in America!
I like their afternoon show. I’d hate to see it get canned or move for Packer’s garbage.
I hope its a move to an FM station.
Been dreading this for a while. Feel fairly certain Fudge is gonna get back on air. Oh well, was a nice few months without him to foul up the airwaves.
I was disappointed to see that Sports Yapp went off the air. I thought it was a pretty good show.
Bryce and I went to high school together and I really wanted to see him succeed. He was always a very nice guy and was very passionate about sports.
Any one know if Fox Sports booted the show or if he left on his own?
Doesn’t appear to be Packer. Unless this new News is actually old.

Tony Rizutti has been the evening show for a month or two now. So this wouldn’t be a “whale of a move”. I would love to see them get rid of Jim Rome from 3-6 but not sure that is what will happen either.
You mean Jim Rome from 12 to 3?
Yea that’s what I meant not sure why I put 3-6.

I don’t like packer either but callers drive these shows. In my limited listening of local radio I have heard very few Charlotte callers.
I don’t care for Packer, but he would be an upgrade over the two guys they have now.

Why? Do you think there’s not enough ACC jock-sniffing on local sports talk anymore now that Fudge left 610, or do you just think the 49ers need to be belittled and berated a bit more? Thats all I ever heard on Primetime with Fudge.
Its nice to have an afternoon local sports talk show without QCB babbling or gimmicks and non-sports blather dominating the sports related conversations.
Taylor & Marc are not ideal, but their show at least tries to be about sports rather than numerous stereotypes and the same canned redneck/bubba garbage everyday. It could be better, it could and should be less about the ACC, and I would love for us to give them something to talk about and for our fans to call the show, but even as it is now, it’s still better than Fudge.
The only thing I ever remember Fudge doing well was pulling in some big name guests cause of his dad’s name, but his interviews were always a mess of pandering to them, reinforcing his tired stereotypical point, or just general retarded toothless bubba crap that made up 90% of his show. The other 10% was him being self righteously condescending to us, other non BCS schools, any sports other than Hoops and Football, and to women in general, but especially female athletes.
Fudge can pack ass as far as I am concerned. If I never hear another word from his mouth for the rest of my life, I’ll be happy.
Cliff Notes: EAD/DIAF Fudge.

Like I said, I don’t like Packer. I think he’s a lowest common denominator type guy, but I guess most sports talk radio is. But that afternoon drive show on 730 is the worst sports talk radio I’ve ever heard. Its brutal.
I know not of this 610 and Packer you all talk about. My dial just skips 610.

I think a frame of reference is called for in this case - a barometer.
Which shows, past or present, would you consider to be good sports radio and why?
