Welcome to Earth.
Iâm pretty sure CLT gets all sorts of radio reception in his zeppelin anywaysâŚ
I had decent reception last night at my place in SouthPark. Still worse than 610. I didnât have reception in my car for the 1st few minutes.
I have been able to listen through my tune-in radio app on the iphone though I have been using the Durham station that is carrying our games since Fox 730 doesnât stream through it.
I listen at home with wifi so it doesnât affect my data usage.

For those that do not have unlimited data this is the key. Turn the phone internet off and the wifi on when you are at home. Does not eat up the data.

Sprint unlimited data is only $79.99. Great plan.
clt says damn straight, bro
Well Iâm in belmont and they say the tower is in belmont and all i got was static. If the tower is near the abbey it could not have been more than 3 miles away.
So where IS the tower and what is the broadcast radius?
Map of tower location. No idea on broadcast radius, but the tower is 18.5 miles from campus, operating at 195 watts at night, versus 10000 watts in the daytime.
Compared to WFNZ, which operates at 1000 watts at night, and is 8.5 miles from campus.
Thatâs where WCGC is too. Both weak stations. It is next to IMPOSSIBLE to get an increase in signal strength. I donât understand why some stations are EVEN on the air at all.
Surprisingly I picked up 730 quite well tonight for the Coach Major Show. I was in the South Park area. After reading all of the previous comments I had almost assumed it would be impossible to get a signal after dark. South Park is closer to Belmont than the University City. I guess thatâs the difference in reception.
Same here Normmm. I heard the show loud and clear all the way from Ballantyne area to E Lincoln taking 485 west.
Iâll be interested to see how it is tonight on campus.
Yeah, try picking it up at night from University city to the south and/or eastâŚlet me know how that works out for you.
I could hear it really well last night -given I am in Belmont, but I could not pick up the NC central game. Maybe they had some technical issues that night.
I was listening to 730 when I got to the University area last Thursday night. I could hear about every third word.

Maybe West of I77 is the approximate range in Charlotte?
It would be nice if we could get our games on HD radio. An FM station could put us on one of their secondary channels that way they would not have to interrupt their normal programming and people with HD radios could hear games clearly.
FK YOU you piece of F* sh*T of a hamster wheel. &%& % (&^(&^
I was happy I couldnât pick up 730 on campus last night. Last thing I wanted to do was hear shit about that excuse for a game.
