Found out last night that the quietly rumored game to take place at Bank of America Stadium was to be with Chapel Hill. They were “All In” so we bought ourselves out of contracts to make it happen on our end before they backed out.

Sounded to me like Judy thought that the Charlotte Sports Foundation was to blame for 'dem 'eels pulling out. She pretty much said we’d have to work around the CSF from now on.

Seriously, why even enter into talks with them? I have no desire to see us play them in any sport. They wanted a game at TWC…if they could be the home team. They played us in baseball…until we beat them. There are plenty of schools out there. I wouldn’t step on the field with them.

My guess (total guess on my part) would be that the Great Charlotte Sports Foundation (probably run by Tar Holes) pushed them to play the S. Carolina game here instead of the game against us.

So far North Carolina isn’t playing at BoA in 2016, but they do have two OOC slots left.

They simply make me sick.

Their program has become nothing but a tool of the larger sports/TV conglomerate. They don’t want to have anything to do with playing local teams.

They have no soul and they are nothing but cheaters.

If they get the Turner Field spot, I’d take them over NMSU or Texas State in a heartbeat. We can turn our noses at them all we want, but they’re a young school in a major southeastern metropolitan area trying to carve out their own identity and undermine the more well-known schools in their state.

That description sounds vaguely familiar. Not sure why, though.

We at least don’t have an ACC school in Charlotte and no FBS programs within an hour’s drive. Doesn’t mean we don’t have challenges, I just see their road to success being tougher than ours.
