Yeah the G5 caveat if the CFP expands to 8 teams is not a good solution. Put in the P5 conference winners and 3 at large that must include 2 G5 teams.

This would certainly improve the number of teams that have an opportunity to win a championship and improve recruiting from the top down.

It would not improve the number of teams that actually have a chance. You’d still be flipping that coin.

I can’t support any playoff idea that includes automatic bids.

I love this. I think that’d be fun to watch.

And I think the CCG winners should get the auto bids (as they will), which will make many of those CCGs effectively a play in round. If you line the timetables up correctly that’d create “December Bedlam”?
