clt says Eddie Basden is the pick here.

Yes, I loved Davis 4 years but the answer is Eddie Basden.

You could make an argument for Withers.

No problem with Withers either; I thought Basden because he was CUSA player of the year and Defensive player of the year.

Basden was really good, but during that era i always viewed Curt as the best player on the team…maybe it was only me.

I’d go with Withers as well. Basden was tough but Withers was the guy other teams had to game plan for

Agree…now Curt was not skilled offensively like a Demarco Johnson, but on his teams, he was a beast.

I got to see curt play for one year. He was the best Niner I’ve seen in person.

He was really good, but might not make my top 10 Niners.

I loved Eddie, but Withers… the angle on this video is not good. When he pulled this move, it was jaw dropping:

clt says Eddie was a defensive stopper as well

clt is ready for another withers to come back to Charlotte

One of my favorite players was Leemire Goldwire. Can’t say he was the best, but he was a clutch player.

I know we lost the triple OT game verse Alabama but in my mind it might be the best college basketball game I’ve ever watched in person.

Jon Davis has the best numbers, but it’s definitely Withers or Basden. I’m torn. Eddie is my all time favorite, but Curt was absolutely dominating in a way Eddie never was.

Also, I see several names on here that Bobby and co recruited really hard. Dee Bost and David Kool in particular. Kool would have averaged 30 ppg in Bobby’s offense.

Withers or Demarco and leaning Demarco Johnson. To watch Demarco on offense was amazing. He was so smooth that we brought in a Butter Johnson. Rodney White was a badass. Basden would be closer to the top if all 4 years were like Year 3 and/or 4. Defensively, and also considering they were really fun to watch on offense, it would be either Young or Basden.

Rodney White was ridiculously talented. He just wasn’t fully polished before he left here. I don’t blame him though. If you’re gonna be a lottery pick you leave and get that :moneybag:!

I would do anything to go back in time and watch Rodney’s team play. Talk about loaded. Ran teams outta the gym.

Witnessed them run NC State out of their own gym that year. Absolutely smoked them. That was a fun game! Rodney was unstoppable.

I would say the same about watching Young, Demarco and Withers. Another thing Demarco did was average 21 points per game his senior season and over 19 per game for 3 years, with close to 9 rebounds per game during those 3 years.
