Where are we meeting?
Who is picking me up on the way?

Are tickets available? I’m wanting to go to this one and am only about two hours from GW. I’d figure this one would sell out quickly.

This is a must!!! A friend of mine lives up in NYC and went to the Fordum event last week and said it was awsome! $20 food, drink and tickets! Deadline is Friday!
Another friend of mine works at GW and she said the game is sold out!

I guess I qualify as DC area alumni. :naughty:
Thanks for the link.
If you’re flying, Reagan is the way to go. You can take the Blue Line directly to Foggy Bottom where the campus and arena are. Definitely the way to go. If you decide to fly to Dulles, you can take a shuttle (it’s -relatively- inexpensive) to the Orange Line (it’s either East Falls or West Falls Church) and also take that directly to Foggy Bottom.
If I get permission from the boss (and score a ticket) anyone that wants to drive up to Richmond can catch a ride with me the rest of the way. Would probably drive up to Springfield and then catch the Metro to Foggy Bottom.
This game is on a Saturday. Are there any students caravanning up there from Charlotte??
how long would the trip be?

From North Charlotte? Around 6 hours one way.
sweet…thanks VA
im going, along with my two roomates, and 2 others on our way for a ski trip for spring break…nothin like a niner game vs a top 10 opponent for a halfway break in a lonnnnnnng car ride
I might go. But Transportation is an issue. My car, is not made for long distance driving.
We may be flying up and back the same day.
FYI, you can fly non-stop from Charlotte to Reagan and as NLP pointed out, take the Metro directly to the GW campus. You don’t even have to go outside to catch the Metro. The same line also stops at the Smithsonian and is close to most of the other sightseeing stuff.

And what car might that be?

Some people have the right connections. Not cheaply, it’s $350+.

Just for kicks I checked out flights from Richmond. They were $300+ and had to stop over in Charlotte. WTF??
A lot of us students won’t go because we’ve made trips to Richmond and Wake just to see us horribly lose.
I think United has some for the 230 range to Dulles, but tack on 20 more for having to shuttle to the Orange Line. I’m a rather frequent flier on US Airways, so it’s diluted out.
I drive a jetta, but its been lowered with low profile tires. Its hard to ride in the car for more then 45 minutes. Stiff suspension. PLus I must run 93 octane, which can get expensive. If it was like a championship game, or maybe an undefeated streak, I would make the painful journey

:lmao:
Isn’t that about the same thing as flying from Greensboro to Charlotte by going through DC?
