THANKS, MIKE!

Didn’t get an answer to this before, so I’ll try again! Is this the start of a new contract with Valpo? I cannot believe we would give them a 2 for 1!?!

Thanks Mike, I can’t believe this was finally announced before September 1.

Saturday, December 4th, 2004:

GRUDGE MATCH.

Thank goodness its on a Saturday so we can all get plenty liquored up. We owe these guys double now. Punks.

Only two games on ESPN? Wasn’t it only two or three seasons ago we were on ESPN five or six times?

now, where does bob’s c-set tv come into play?

I see our homecoming opponent is Southern Miss. Katy bar the door!!!

Make sure you invite him and Huggy to the post game kegger!

With the team we have coming back there is 22 or 23 wins in that schedule.

Run-

That has to be the funniest post I have ever seen on this board, or any board for that matter! I am still wiping away the tears!

On a more serious note about our game versus Southern Miss (also known as my wife’s alma mater!), that marks our FINAL home game in Conference USA.

BTW, UofL can’t wait to make the jump to the BE: Screw Conference USA; BIG EAST, here we come!

Larry, we hardly got to know ya…

NOTE TO SCHEDULE MAKER(S): NO MORE FRIDAY NIGHT GAMES IN NOVEMBER.
High school football playoffs are still going on. We have a hard enough time getting people there as is, and we don’t need to compete with the NCHSAA playoffs. I will miss the home opener again should my high school make the 2nd round. :cuss: :argue:

Only two games on ESPN? Wasn't it only two or three seasons ago we were on ESPN five or six times?

We had several Sunday night games on ESPN2. CUSA no longer has the same contract with them and ESPN/ESPN2 did not carry Sunday night college basketball last year.

I just put up the schedule on the homepage (center, near bottom). I’d like to have it closer to the top so it’s more accessible, but the only way to do that is to put it directly under the “Welcome Back ‘your name’” block. To do that, I’d have to disable the “New Posts Since Last Visit” and “Latest News” blocks. If you guys are content with where the schedule is at right now, then let me know. If you’d rather it replace the two blocks I just mentioned, then let me know as well.

One other option I have is to really scale down the size of the the block and put it over on the left side. However, to do so, I’d have to pretty much eliminate the “TV and W/L” columns. And even then, I wouldn’t be able to fit everything on one line. To get that info, I’d have to set up a link under the schedule which would take you to another page with the additional info.

Basically, the format is going to look the best (at 1024x768 resolution) with it where I currently have it since the middle column is wider. It’s just a matter of bumping it up higher (and bumping down/removing something else) or leaving it where it is.

And if anyone notices an error, please let me know. Was in a hurry and didn’t really doublecheck it. Thanks!

run, your humor is killing me! Be sure to bring the kids early to Halton on Febrary 5 and 26.

On exhibit outside prior to the game…

Just a thought…why is Cincy @ Charlotte always an ESPN game and Charlotte @ Cincy is an ESPN+ at best? Well maybe not always but it was last year and this year I know for sure.

Anyway, we better have at least 9 wins going into 2005(I will give up a loss at Indiana and either @ Valpo or vs Bama). Our conference slate is brutal though, @ Marquette, UAB and Louisville. Memphis at home will be tough and we all know how well we play at St. Louis. It’ll be interesting, that’s for sure. Are we finally mature enough to not loose to a team clearly worse than us? And are we good enough to go on the road and beat some of these teams? It’ll be fun, I could see us going 11-0 in the fall, but we could just as easily have 3 losses heading into conference play.

Only downside I see is that we will only have 2(maybe 3) home games against ranked teams. It’s always great to see Halton rocking the capacity crowd, and unfortunately most don’t come out unless we play a big name team.

Sure they can’t wait to go to the Big East. They are tired of us handing their ass to them. If you can’t beat 'em jump ship. Pitino is such a f%$#!* :tool:

how long until the times will be released for the game???

I think we have two too many cream puffas on the sched. Long Beach, UNCA, and the Cable Car Clasic are RPI danger games. They will pull down our SOS for sure. Also not sure how Davidson will be this year so that game might also hurt our SOS. Of course I always like when we play at davidson since it is like having another home game.

I think we need to sweep the home games, win the cable car classic, and beat davidson to have a decent rpi and sos going into conference play. If we don’t beat Alabama or Rutgers then we will need a win at Valpo or Indiana. (I really want a win at Indiana - we had our chance to own them but we blew it).

Also, I’m still pissed about the pepsi classic loss to the Ragin Cajuns. That 7’ tall fu$%#& with the greasy mullet got on my damn nerves! WE OWE THEM AN ASS KICKING. My wife thought he was the ugliest mens basketball player to ever grace halton arena.

Long Beach and UNCA should be clinics. That game up at UNCA last year was fun.
