I doubt Iâd call this game tough, we beat them last year when they had Loren Stokes (one of the best players to ever wear the Pride uni). We didnât have nothing last year compared to what we have this year. Fordham beat them, nuff said.
See Monmouth. Any Niner team is capable of laying an egg anytime.
Niners win a close but ugly game. Harris starts, but Gerrity gets about 15 minutes. Leemire is ok, but I think someone else is the leading scorer. Maybe Mack or Anjuan have a big game. We probably miss free throws that could ice the game so the score is closer than it should be. The board erupts with negativity when they do not blow out a âweakerâ team by at least 15pts.

I disagree. We have had close games and lost to bad teams this year and years past. I think as long as itâs a win, nobody is gonna say well it should have been by more.
Last year still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. After this years surprising success, I believe a win is a win, and i will take everyone we can get regardless of score.

Get used to it, I predict a lot of uglyball, since we have only a few stellar shooters we are going to have to rely on athleticism, a barnburner will be a rarity.
The games this year have been exponentially better to watch, I dont miss many (if any) home games. If we lose itâs ok, but Iâm so happy to have a much more watchable team. More often than not last yearâs team was agonizing to watch.
Whatâs up with Hofstra? The Pride is now 1-5 following a 77-74 loss to 3-7 Stony Brook tonight in Hempstead, falling behind by 22 before making a late run in this Battle of Long Island.
Senior guard Antoine Agudio, who entered the game leading the country in scoring with a 27.6 average, finished with 24 points and freshman guard Nate Lester scored 20, but it wasnât enough. The Seawolves â who lost to Columbia by 20 earlier this season â won despite playing without 6-9 Emanuel Neto, their leading rebounder, who was in Angola for his motherâs funeral.
This was the second consecutive game Hofstra has fallen behind badly before making a futile run at the end. Fordham built up a 21-point lead on the Pride last week at Rose Hill, then held on for a 73-71 victory. The road doesnât get any easier for Tom Pecoraâs team, which has lost four straight by a total of 12 points and plays two of the better teams in the Atlantic 10 in the next 10 days. Hofstra hosts UNC-Charlotte at 4 p.m. Saturday, then plays at Rhode Island on Dec. 22.
So Gerrity IS going to be available? I heard they had to make sure his grades were where they needed to be, but never heard the result. I hope he plays.

Go Niners!
Per the âLutz Liveâ thread, Harris will start and Gerrity will come off the bench.
Gerrity also got mentioned by Jeff Goodman on FOXSports.com:
KEY MID-SEASON ADDITIONS
Here are a couple updates on mid-season additions.
Butler should get a lift from Alabama transfer Avery Jukes for the Dec. 19 game against Bradley.
- Charlotte coach Bobby Lutz is expected to get point guard Mike Gerrity, who transferred in from Pepperdine, for Saturdayâs game against Hofstra.
Former Duke forward Jamal Boykin will be eligible for Cal coach Ben Braun on Dec. 22 against Utah.
whilst we are laying out predictions. Coley will t-bag the player they call âPlaystation.â Then weâll follow up asking for them to make sure âAtariâ is alright.
If we make 75% plus at the free throw line, weâll be better than fine. Go :49ers: !
