Well, I was just a blur in last night’s show. One more chance in the finale in a few weeks.
Holy jesus this show.
It’s been renewed for a 2nd season. Hopefully they will continue to shoot it in this area so my “acting” career can continue. 2 more episodes this season. The finale will be a 2 hr episode.
This show is seriously deranged.
How so? The plot is convoluted by design, I guess. What else perplexes you?

Nothing perplexing, just a messed up show.

Well, I don’t really wanna go into spoilers. But events that happen are emotionally charged and there are some really gut wrenching moments.
If you are watching the show, you should know what I mean. The bomb at the school, seriously?

Watching? I worked 3 episodes as an extra. Yes the bomb in Iraq. Very powerful, especially for those of us who have kids. Next week is the 90 minute finale, the last episode I worked. Not sure what will happen other than the few scenes I worked and “something” did happen then. Stay tuned. 8)
Well I just watched the finale. I did see myself very briefly at the 37:30 mark, but I’m in the back of a crowd, upper right, in the scene and hard to spot. In any event it was a thrill working as a “background artist” on this show this season. It’s being renewed for next year, so maybe I’ll get to have some more fun then. 8)
Congrats! Homeland won a Golden Globe for best new TV drama and one for Claire Danes.
Well, they’re getting ready to start filming the new season of Homeland. Some will be shot in the Charlotte area again. I have applied to be in the mix again for extras so we’ll see. So far I’ve been typecast as the old bar fly type, so romantic scenes with Claire are probably not going to happen. :))
Anyway it’s a fun way to pick up some extra cash.
This summer I worked in a pilot episode for a proposed TV series called Shelter (CW) and also in an episode of a new TV series called Banshee (Cinemax). Both coming to a TV near you. 8)
Filming for season 2 has begun this week in the area. Got my first gig for next Monday. 8)
On another note, Shelter was not picked up for production, but Banshee is rolling along.

I drove by the Banshee County Sheriff’s office on Broad St. in Mooresville the other day. Did a double take before realizing what it was for.
Congrats on your acting gig. You terrorist # 3?

No. I’m mostly blurry-older-dude-in-background-in-the-bar # 1. :))
Heads up, Homeland fans. The new, 2nd season begins Sunday, Sept. 30th on Showtime. I had the pleasure of working again as an extra in several episodes. Not sure which ones, but I’ll watch and be surprised.
Homeland racked up the Emmys tonight. :-*

I noticed Claire Danes was very pregnant at the Emmys. Not sure whether to consider that as a spoiler for season 2 since it just finished filming.
Also, one of the writers gave a shout out to the people in Charlotte. Congrats 49er1! :))

Yeah, the Homeland extras Facebook page is roaring today with pride for the “…fabulous crew back in Charlotte” shout out. The 2nd season is coming to a wrap this week. I’m working a close-to-a-final scene tomorrow at Zach’s Burgers on South Blvd. I can’t wait. 8)
