I don’t think shows on Showtime & HBO should be eligible for awards. You want recognition, be on the channels working people can actually view.

I noticed Claire Danes was very pregnant at the Emmys. Not sure whether to consider that as a spoiler for season 2 since it just finished filming.
Also, one of the writers gave a shout out to the people in Charlotte. Congrats 49er1! :))
Yeah, the Homeland extras Facebook page is roaring today with pride for the “…fabulous crew back in Charlotte” shout out. The 2nd season is coming to a wrap this week. I’m working a close-to-a-final scene tomorrow at Zach’s Burgers on South Blvd. I can’t wait. 8)
Damn, now I have to wait 8 more months to get into the better parking lot uptown?

Not sure what you mean, but I just learned that filming will continue on 3 more episodes this season into early November.

I’m a monthly customer of Preferred Parking in uptown Charlotte. When Homeland rents out our parking lot for their trailers we get to park in a lot closer to my work for the same price.
Well the 2nd season is over and here’s a shot of me at the bar in a scene from the season finale. Did not watch any of the show, but I’ll get the DVD set later and see if there are other sightings. Fun. Damian Lewis is in mid frame in a blue shirt.
Ha! I now see a OMB poster on the back wall. Didn’t notice it during the actual show.
Which bar is that?
Al’s on Park Rd.
What did you guys think of the finale? It was good, but I didn’t love it. Will be interesting to see what direction they go with season 3. Homeland is probably my 3rd favorite current show behind Breaking Bad and Mad Men.
I liked it, season 1 was a tough act to follow. They did a good job of not going off the rails and keeping the show interesting.
I think, ultimately, it wasn’t as good as Shameless through two seasons but those are my two favorite shows on TV. Californication is up there too. Dexter season 7 was actually really good also.
I liked it too. I think the hints with Sal in the finally were enough to pull me in another season. Good thing too because I’m starting to tire of the Brody and Carrie carousel.
My favorite show this season was Boardwalk Empire. This season was fantastic. Bobby Carnavalle(sp?) was awesome.
They are looking for extras for season 3.

Yep. Give it a go, y’all. I’ll be doing my 3rd season. It’s fun BUT NOT FOR EVERYONE. Some will find it boring, unglamorous, and poorly paid ($60 for 8 hours + time and a half for overtime after an 8 hour day), but I and many others love it. I’ve met a number of Charlotte grads on the set of this and Banshee. Filming resumed this week.

I saw the Banshee police cars at the mill when I drove by the other day. Thought about getting out and getting a picture with them, but worried I’d get arrested or something. LOL!

Is his name Richard?
Looking at the Homeland requirements, why do they need info on your vehicle?
A lot of times, they need extra vehicles as well. For those, you’ll pretty much just drive your car through a scene. I did some of that for Talladega Nights.

If you use your car in a scene, you get paid an extra $20. I’ve done it several times. They don’t use just any kind of cars. They want a certain “look” in every scene. Red and white car are 99.999% taboo unless they specifically want them for the shoot for some reason.
Here’s the fake VA tag the props guy put on my car for yesterday’s shoot at 421 N. Tryon Street. Claire Danes’ character gets out of a black Escalade and walks between it and the back of my car in the scene. My car got all the screen time! But check out the license number. Cool connection. 8)
