Indy’s last loss came on this weekend in 2000. Their current win streak is at 109 games. This year their strength is apparently the running game, with a very quick tailback and a massive line on both sides.

ninerid, elder has been down last couple years, but won back to back big school ohio state titles a few years earlier. i’m no fan of the purple panthers, but they have a history of saving their best for the best.
best game of the tourney, i hope, is my alma mater taking on dematha. usa today has independence at #3, st. x at #4, and dematha at #5. gonna be on espn so i hope the bombers bring the A game.

Charlotte is the real Queen City. Time for us to show it again.
I cannot begin to describe the days of Cincy fans and Charlotte fans on this/former website going at each others throats (is Kenny Satterfield still crying?). Straight up insane war. It was as intense as UNC-Duke. I miss it.

Has Charlotte Independence played many out of state teams? I remember seeing that #7 SC team versus the #11 Florida team on ESPN a week or so ago… #11 won rather solidly.
It’s funny - Independence actually lost a “scrimmage” game to Byrnes High School out of Spartanburg, SC earlier this year - but I guess that doesn’t count since it was just a “scrimmage”…

I met UCTom at the conference tourny in Cincy. He was a nice guy, but he talked to the mempiss fans, so I couldn’t really associate with him.
He tried to get us to do it too.
