Hudson Price

@davidscott14: Can confirm that Hudson Price (son of Mark Price) is in process of transferring to @Charlotte49ers from TCU, but still not a done deal.

Wow, that would help.

Nice!!!

clt says this is good.

i assume he will be a walk on since his dad is a state employee.

very nice pickup if he is indeed a walkon. 6’6", athletic and can shoot. smart kid also. i believe was on the big 12 all academic team. definitely helps depth.

Looks like he has a good array of skills.

Only think that stuck out to me was he didn’t look particularly fast. Might not be a big deal in cusa.

I actually mentioned this possibility in the Shoutbox right after Price was hired. Good pickup.

Awesome addition to the team.

sometimes yodeling dank hymns?

funny looking shot. JUST KIDDING! :o

Not sure I’m following, are you saying he gets to go to school for free because of that? He doesn’t. We do have 1 schollie we weren’t using.

His numbers his first two years are Benkovic like. I guess 6’6’’ shooters are always good for depth. Just weird that this seems very, very late in the game…and he’d have to sit out a year unless I’m missing something, whether on schollie or not.

I think this speaks volumes to Coach Price’s impression of the university. It also speak to his dedication to staying here for a while. He has done nothing but impress me thus far.

excellent points. both.
i just bet the kid has a significant role!

i thought that children of state employees went to school for free. either way, i hope he comes as a walkon so we don’t have to use the scholarship. i feel totally differently about this if he is not a walkon.

okay. so things change!

My dad taught at UNC Charlotte for 20 years. I went from 96-00 and 01-02 for masters (my brother went here also). We never got a penny free, unless it was from our own assistanceships/scholarships. The fact my dad worked there meant nothing - or someone made some horrendous accounting mistakes :)) :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course, that was years ago, but I’ve never heard of any changes.

I would imagine Hudson gets a scholarship, unless Coach Price says ā€˜this ones on me’ and just pays his son’s way himself. That’s not unheard of.

i could be mistaken, thought i heard that somewhere. so does this affect our scholarship situation for 2016 or 2017, if he is indeed on scholarship? i think price can afford to pay the kid’s tuition.
