There are a ton of seniors in those remote mountain areas, my grandma is 90 years old and lives across the line in East Tennessee (she is good, I was over there during it and her power was restored same same day). People there keep some water set back and food, but going on two weeks everything becomes an issue. Especially if family canā€™t easily access them.

As bad as Asheville is I fear for what is going to be discovered when they get into those areas. Time is crucial here.

Landfall between Tampa and Fort Myers will be better for Tampa in regard to storm surge, I think. The winds will be pushing water out of the bay instead of into the bay. Fort Myers may be screwed.
