Click show reader…

It’s seems messed up but how do online places stop this?

Great article, no condescending bs. Thanks LW.

(1) Coverage in the first place. Check!
(2) Put a human face on the coverage. Check!
(3) Written by someone who (a) is located in the market and (b) (This one wasn’t included in my earlier post, but it is relevant here.) written by a journalist who can really write!

Langston, if they’ll let you continue with the sort of reporting represented by the article on Coach Fearne, Charlotte might finally receive the coverage it deserves and the many of us who are drawn to high quality, consistent coverage will click frequently.

Great article Langston! I’m a believer. Let’s continue the ride. Many great things ahead.

Too bad all of these posts you make are on Twitter (X) and not the Charlotte Observer

Why are you now complaining about coverage - FREE coverage at that? He is trying to build a following/interest.

I think he’s getting at that the “clicks” the Observer says it needs to justify more Niner coverage are going to Twitter instead of the Observer. I may be wrong. If the free article was on the Observer, then the O would get those clicks. I’m not sure if any clicks on the Twitter article make a difference when calculating Observer clicks. It all gives me a headache. For the record, I didn’t see anything regarding the Memphis game on the O website.

Coverage? To my knowledge, the only people that can see X posts are those that follow Langston on X. Unless he copies the post on this forum which he has done here. Do you see any of this in the Observer?

Also, see VA49er post above

I have just been putting those on Twitter to show we are paying attention and it keeps me in the “loop” by doing them. Keeps Niners front of mind.

Not putting them in the paper because right now they would be a ratings loser which would hurt my efforts. If/when traffic for the stuff I am putting in the paper, or having others put in the paper, ramps up, more would come. And that “more” would include game previews.

Question: If I was to do a profile on a player or someone over there connected with basketball, who would be most of interest to you guys? I think we’ve kind of covered Igor. So beyond him.

Also among other sports playing now, what’s of interest? Football spring practice folks?

Y’all can email to. May not see everything here

Deuces.

Apparently Dishon Jackson has a story, whatever it is I don’t think it has come out yet.

Yeah Dishon has a big story about his comeback from injury that he’s been public about keeping from the public.

Lu’Cye Patterson is one of the faces of the team, so one on him would prob be good.

Threadgill is a senior and went from hitting the buzzer beater against Davidson last year to being a 6th man coming off the bench.

Other than basketball, our baseball and softball teams got AAC preseason rankings at #2.

The softball team beat nationally ranked #4 FSU for their season opener at FSU.

The baseball team lost their series to Virginia Tech 1-2 but absolutely whipped Davidson into shape yesterday scoring 24 - 1. They also have a big upcoming series against West Virginia and an overall tough out of conference slate.
