www.oregonlive.com go to Sports at the top and go to High School. you can find daily box scores, team schedules. He plays for Wilson in the PIL 4A

thanks man

Even if these guys don’t sniff starter minutes they will be good subs. Imagine resting your starters with pure marksmen, its a win win.

Is it weird that out of every one of our recruits, I’m most excited about Ian Anderson? I got a good feeling about this kid.

Jobey,… I mean Ian had 42 Tuesday night against Lincoln.

If Ian was on a more talented team and in a league with higher exposure, I think it’s safe to say that he would be top 150, maybe top 100. He is dropping 30+ on a regular basis despite the fact that he is the main focus of the opposing team’s D.

i mean if you honestly think about it ian is going to light it up here. he’s never going to be the main focus for any teams defense. He’s got the shadow of DA next year and then TMB the following.

no one is saying he’s going to light it up. He’ll be a very good role player. It never hurts having a guy to come off of the bench for 10-12 minutes a game that is a pure shooter.

i am not calling anyone out. I think we all do it, but if dewhurst and andersen were black some of us would probably think they were going to be better. Truth is they are all basketball players, good players. The top two guys in the NCAA are white, Reddick and Morrison, the freshman with the most impact is white, Hansbrough. I’m not saying we are racist and degrading i just think that sometimes it happens, agree / disagree???

I haven’t thought about it that way, I mean I’m not saying that once in a while when I first look at a guy (& he’s white) that I think man this guy is just as good as a walk-on. The same could be said about when I get the first glimpse of a black guy and think man this guy looks like he can ball. But, once I see for myself or in this case read articles about how the guy plays (has played) I quickly clear any perception from my mind. Maybe it isn’t the same for other people, but for me it is like this.

Actually I think dax said he’s going to light it up. With the way this guy has been shooting in HS, I’ll have to agree with him.

lutz has a knack for finding guys who can shoot the ball. Lutz finds the guys no one hears about and gets them to come and play here. Everyone was skeptical about brenden when he first stepped on the court. But when he made that first 34 footer. EVERYONE worshipped him. the 3-point line is going to be renamed to Anderson’s Lane.

I hope the guy is the real deal. Could go either way though. Dinkins threw down a ton of points on a bad team in high school and turned out to be a huge steal for us. I think he wound up being the Sun Belt player of the year in '88 and had a cup of coffee in the NBA. On the other hand, Chris Sager could light it up in high school and at a lower level D1 school before transfering and riding the bench here. I love the fact that Anderson is a workout beast, so you know the kid is a hard worker. I think alot depends on whether or not he has enough foot speed to create open looks for himself and can he develope a quick release like Jobey. Fingers crossed here!

sager also got mono and wasn’t the same ever since. Mono either has no affect or can really hurt your career very badly.

Hey, not me. I’ve been saying that we need to get some white boys that can shoot and play as opposed to the track stars we have now.

You don’t have to have runners and leapers to play basketball. That’s a common misconception. Also, when these guys get here, Preston needs to condition them but not make them musclemen and kill their touch.

Why do people keep saying this about Mono??? Its not CP or MS we’re talking about here? I have never heard of someone getting mono and its just destroying a natural ability.

Could it just have been that he seemed to have more talent at a lower level of competition? I really don’t think Mono destroyed his career.
