I am not saying he was “bad” for America…but I do think he is the most overrated president of the modern era…and possibly ever. Did…some good…did a lot of bad. Was hardly the conservative many on the right like to trumpet him as. And my island has a lot more people on it than just me.

While I’m sorry Lincoln was shot, it was his own fault. Several times he didn’t take assassination attempts seriously, & it was revenge because Lincoln had tried to take out Davis earlier in the war. The CSA wouldn’t have touched Lincoln if Lincoln hadn’t done it 1st.
I saw a special on the History Channel where Lincoln put out a couple of hits on Davis, & then, & only then, would the CSA Cabinet put out a couple of counter-hits on Lincoln.
And also, while I’m sad that JFK was shot, & I do believe it was a conspiracy, even he wasn’t a choir boy, as 21 days prior, JFK had the S. Vietnam Pres. shot because JFK didn’t believe that a dictator could unite S. Vietnam.
Moral of the story: If you don’t want to get hit, don’t hit someone else.
