Job knows this kid that I am talkin about, we attended high school with him

“Yeah I hope its packed and the weather holds off so we can play I think it will be a good game. We had a little speech after the last game we played yhall.”

Goes 2 for 3 and 2 RBI’s in the game and afterwards I return to my dorm room from a shower after the game and get a text that says,

“WOw great game tonight. I thought you guys were gonna have alot of Charlotte fans there. Hope to play down here again next year!”

What the heck do you say back to that…they kicked out butts from the beginning till the end…I just told him congrats and I would be down there to watch him play sometime soon. Wow what to say other than…Let’s F up the Spartans tonight like the Tarheels F’ed us up last night

“yeah - i hope you do too - and maybe we’ll actually use some of our starters!”

Im on it! Ill go to the Dean of Students office tomorrow and get a meeting set up. Anyone want to join me in a meeting? It wont be tomorrow but I can set it up for a future date. Ill get the F-in Dean of Students herself in on it. She loves me! :) And she is very fair...we just have to convince her it is something that is needed.

[COLOR=black]I want to make this meeting as official as possible. Any body got any good ideas as to what a good group name would be? One with the sole purpose of creating Pride for our school in incoming students. Not just with this endeavor, but for future endeavors as well.[/COLOR]

You’re exactly right. This is the root of many of our problems here. Students who lack pride in their school turn in to alumni with a lack of connection to their alma mater. I think this is a main reason for the lack of giving back. What is the percentage of alumni who donate to the University again??

This is an excellent idea. Make a new thread and let’s get the paperwork together to get this student group launched officially.

You know what hypes me up, is the FORRTTYY-NINNERS chant at the beginning of the games.

Maybe we could show a video of the full arena, with sound on blast of that, have highlights from back in the day, show other sports and how they are doing, and have coaches talk about what Charlotte Pride is and what it means to be a 49er and what they expect from students.

You know what we be great. Is when the SOAR students are in the auditorium, have them start a FORRTTYY-NINERS chant, left side chant FORTTYY, right side chant NINERRSSS. Then explain how great it is for a see of green jumping around hollaring, and cheering their heads off for their teams at sporting events all for free for students.

Exactly. We need this on the video, along with the conference championships, the great televised upsets, the cincy/memphis/louisville games, the mass camp-outs, the final four run, everything. Get footage of this on video, turn it into a fiery video like the one shown at halftime (“Right Here, Right Now”) and show it at the freshman orientation…and I guarantee our freshman will have a little more 49er pride than before.

you’re a joke. 17-0 is the best you can do? you think that writing it on our walls is justification for betraying the institution providing your education? why aren’t you at chapel hill? did you get rejected? did you even ****ing apply? why are you cheering for the school that doesn’t even want you? its like the battered wife saying “oh he beats on me and verbally abuses me, but he still loves me so i cant leave him…” really. reasoning. i need reasons. you make yourself look ridiculous, being enrolled in one school and devoting yourself to another. chapel hill is never going to do anything for you. ever. their graduates hold this school down. they want nothing but the worst for US. and i say us, because sadly, you are a student here, just as much so as i am. Your ‘boyz’ at the hill dont want us to have medical school, a law school, a football team. why? cause all the sudden they arent so high and mighty. please get a clue. you attend charlotte. this is where you are. wake up.
