Intro song etc for stadium

Not an intro song but maybe second half. Definitely has a good name -
“Gold” - performed by South African artist Jeremy Loops (he appears briefly right before 2 min mark in the official vid walking by with guitar):

In the live version there is a sing a long with the audience:

Almost anything would be less awkward and silently cringey as the Bad Company intro last year. Only note I sent to the athletic office all season is that our game presentation/production rivals high schools in Union County moreso than even an FCS team.

That was a Five Finger Death Punch cover of Bad Company by Bad Company. It could have been a great intro had it been done better with louder music and the video more exciting.

I agree the song was not the problem. The sound system didn’t do it justice and the overall cheeziness of Biff calling the team Bad Company and then struggling to win 3 games kind of ruined any chance of that intro catching on.

Have to admit I’ve never been a big fan of the band Bad Company, though I do like the namesake song. Saw them once while in high school and that only happened because Kansas opened for them!

Anyway, did some research and I can understand why the FFDP cover appeals to Coach, especially with the pro-US military imagery etc in the official vid.

BTW, didn’t realize that FFDP founder Zoltan Bathory is such an accomplished martial arts practitioner - thus the name of the group. (“D’uh!” on my part :person_facepalming:) In fact, according to Bathory’s Wiki page:

Anyway, probably more than enough music + martial arts trivia for now. :guitar: :martial_arts_uniform: :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m not a huge FFDP fan but do like a few of their songs. I really prefer this cover over the Bad Company cover but I don’t think this was ever as popular.

Ya, like who in the hell picked Zach Bryan Revival as a sing along, I never heard of the song until now and after watching the video I never want to hear it again

I love glamrock and heavy metal but there are way better options in this genre to choose from, this is like the default generic choice

Maybe they picked the Zach Bryan thing because we can all sing out of tune just like him.
I’m certainly glad football does not have a “bark in the park” game. Can you imagine the racket when they all start howling along with that “music”?

I didn’t initially post a concert video of “Revival” because the 3:42 min album original has become the de facto sing-along encore for Zach Bryan shows that can stretch out to 15+. Such was the case earlier this month when Bruce Springsteen and the Lumineers joined Bryan on stage at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.

Well this turned out just as I thought it would. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad.:sob:

I have an idea. Let’s wait and see what ultimately happens. I would have never thought Sweet Caroline would ever be a sing along 30-40 years ago. It was one of the lamest songs I had ever heard. Now I seem silly for thinking that. Not saying these two songs will be the “it” songs but you don’t know until it happens. The game will dictate how many are still in the stands at this point. And our fans aren’t known for hanging in there long.
