[/quote] His pizza is garbage, too.

Hell I knew his pizza was garbage years ago

clt says his model is based around the garlic/butter dipping sauce

If I remember correctly, the donors for naming the field were friends of McColl and Richardson. This would bring up an interesting twist if so, because if the money did not come from Richardson and the donors have not violated any clause in the contract, can we make a change without their permission?

As of 2pm today I received an update that they acknowledged receipt of my request.

What differs between the JR stuff and the Papa John stuff is in the latter, there were numerous witnesses, an admission of the mistake and a resignation from various positions John Schnatter held. There has been no indication that JR would be willing to ‘go away’ like Schnatter appears to be doing, so I’m glad we’re taking a measured approach this instead of diving head first into a decision.

clt says you guys are going to end up with Dubois stadium. Let it go.

Well, isn’t this an easy way out.
UNC to change which Kenan is honored on Kenan Stadium

There were several Kenan children of the bad guy. One of them married Henry Flagler, a partner of John Rockefeller who developed much of south Florida. Another, William Rand Kenan, Jr., invented calcium carbide. These Kenans had very few children. They donated their money to UNC-CH.

The family members who are agreeing to the change never knew William Rand Kenan, who passed away in the early 20th century.

In one of the articles about this renaming, there’s mention of a gift in the 1950s for an upper deck. There are incredible spiraling ramps to access the upper deck. They looked like something from The Jetsons. They’ve been obscured by subsequent “improvements”, but they can still be seen and used.

Maybe this company can sponsor our stadium?

Maybe if we buy their products, but I’m sure we don’t/won’t.

My post was a joke. The company is called Richardson. We don’t have to change the name of “Richardson” stadium just the meaning behind the name. See what the folks in Chapel Hill are doing.

Maybe we should keep the name of the stadium and just call it “the Dick”. For Richard.
